    The feature request entails enhancing the RingCentral system to allow the addition of a special number to incoming caller IDs. Currently, certain carriers in the US and Canada do not support the ability to display a special number in the caller ID when receiving calls.

    Background:

  2. The voicemail time is too short. Is there a way to increase the time limit, the ideal time limit would be up to 10 minutes. We service all time zones w/ calls coming in after hours. It is very frustrating for the client to call back to continue a voicemail 2 to 3 times.

  3. Red Hat is in the process of turning up a new custom engineered BYOC gateway in Dubai, UAE. They needed local UAE DIDs.   4. Allow users to create a generic OOO message.

    Separately, they could record the time frame they will be out of the office.

    This would (conceivably) allow them to record one message for reuse.

    Example:
    You have reached the voice mail for Veronica Lee.

    I will be out of the office from [variable-Start Date] to [variable End Date].

    I you need immediate assistance, please contact the Help Desk.

    If your request requires my personal attention, please leave a detailed message and I‘ll get back to you when I return to the office.

  8. BT Feature Request: Custom Configuration for BT provided phones

    Details : Currently, BT-provided phones are not permitted to undergo any custom configuration changes because doing so would void the manufacturer’s warranty. The prohibited customizations include, but are not limited to:

    *Blind/Attended Transfer Settings for Yealink phones
    *Custom Line Key Setup
    *Extending Transfer Timers for Cisco phones
    *Any configuration requiring access to the phone’s web interface

    Expected Behavior: To be allow to apply the custom changes according to the customers request for their phone set up

  9. It appears that the Main Super Admin’s name is displaying on all numbers assigned to the Company Site. As a result, calls look as though they are coming from the Super Admin, even when they are not. The caller ID should instead display the company name rather than the Super Admin’s name.

Currently, if a member of a ring group puts themselves in DND via their physical desk phone (Poly VVX450), no other member of the ring group can recieve the call; the system sends back a busy signal causing the call to route to the next step (either VM or Forward). However, if the user puts themselves in DND via the Admin Portal, the ring group/call routing works as expected or desired.

    Currently, our call routing system lacks the capability to filter or route inbound calls based on the caller's area code. This feature is available in some Contact Center platforms but not in our current setup. Implementing area code-based filtering would improve call handling efficiency, allow region-specific routing, and enhance customer experience by ensuring calls are directed to the appropriate teams or locations.

  17. Make it so admins can lock settings so users cannot change them on the mobile app. This is specifically the user settings. We have a complex set up and it includes users being able to receive calls on call and with notifications. Our users frequently change setting and the only setting we want them to be able to change is to Do Not Disturb. Unfortunately they change notification settings and a variety of other settings, which makes it a nightmare for our admins to revert back.

  18. We would like the ability for someone on a local conference call to be able to leave without the call ending. Having the ability to get multiple people on a quick call is great but if someone needs to drop off they shouldn't have to start up a new call.

  19. I have tested the RingCentral App connect current version 1.7.24 with the Google Chrome Extension (version 1.6.30), I did not select a CRM to connect with and it works well.

    Are there any plans to develop the same functionality within the RingCentral desktop app itself, it would be great to have access to it there and not have to depend on a browser?

    Also, if it is made available within the RingCentral Mobile app, that would be great also!

  20. We've purchased Polycom Edge E350 devices from RingCentral. But we've noticed that the devices that are connected via wireless connectivity go into a power saving mode and drop the wireless connection. We can disable the setting but we have 40 to 50 devices that we need to set this on and we're adding more edge e350s in the near future and need a way to set this on all of the devices, not each individual device.
