Currently the new RC Video is not able to link to Microsoft on premise exchange / Outlook. The only options to link a calendar are Google or MS 365. I must say I understand the move off of the Zoom platform but to ask people to be moved off by March 8th 2021 and lose these necessary features makes it very difficult.
Thank you in advance,
Derek
Agreed - 100%! By essentially forcing clients from the "meetings" platform to the "video" platform, without all the features for your client base at-large, RC has handicapped and complicated work flow. The video option does not work as well with Exchange as the meetings option did. It's incredibly frustrating that the engineers limited integration to just web-based email options, thereby isolating clients who still use Exchange in their environments.
I've seen this request in many forms - on prem Exchange sync, Outlook plugin for calendar sync. The "ActiveSync" request right above this one is the same thing also. There are literally dozens of individual requests but not one with more than a few votes. If you add them all up though it's a significant vote count. RC already has the connector built to work with Exchange online/O365. All you need to do is allow the company admins to enter their own domain so it looks up the publicly available auto discovery DNS info for "contoso.com" instead of "office365.com". If RC wants to grow by adding enterprise businesses you absolutely have to have this since those are the companies that have private Exchange hosting. Not having Exchange sync working also forces users to stay on RC Meetings since they at least have an Outlook plugin that works. The RC Video Outlook plugin leaves alot to be desired - even calendar sync does not work with it.
