I've been a Ring Central customer for many years. Recently I was forced to download the new RC app because the old app is discontinued. The new app is missing this feature ... When I receive a phone call on one of my business numbers (there are several) the number would be listed under my Recent Calls list. If I would tap on the number in the list it would give me the option to Block that caller.
On the new app no incoming calls show in my Recent Calls list, only outgoing calls. This for me is a major problem. I receive calls from telemarketers all day long. It's exhausting. With the old app I could Block them and they can't call me again. I had to download a call blocker app to solve this problem. If this feature can't be in the new app can we at least use the old app for the time being?
I have been on the phone with tech support several times with no luck. Thanks for your time.
Yes, I'm using the current app on my phone. Don't know why but doesn't show any incoming calls, only outgoing. Maybe a setting? I have several different #'s for my business that are forwarded to RC. Not sure what the problem is.
Hey Timothy, I just tested in my desktop app under All calls and mobile app under Recents, and both list incoming calls. Are you on the latest version of the app?
I believe this has been available in the new app for awhile. The problem is when you go to "recent calls" list no incoming calls show up. Only outgoing calls. So if someone calls you and you want to block them, I don't see a way to do it.
This is available in the new app, you'll need to hover over the date/time stamp and click ... to get more options, and then select Block number.
