In gallery view the active user's window slightly expands and zooms in and out as people converse. This is visually distracting, especially during conversations with multiple people. I suggest having the option for users to turn this feature off. Simply highlighting the active speaker with a color border is preferred.
Hello, have you tried switching from Active Speaker view to Gallery View? This should solve the issue of the expansion of the active speaker: https://support.ringcentral.com/video/in-meeting-controls/viewing-participants-ringcentral-video-desktop-web.html
This 'feature' was clearly designed and approved by people who are not easily visually distracted. Heaven forbit you put an autistic or ADD person on a meeting with this -- the only thing they'll remember or focus on is the movement of the box on the screen.
When something like this is added, there needs to be a way for users to turn it off. IIRC, there was a setting for the indicator of who was speaking in previous versions, so why that was converted to a distracting animation without any way to turn it off is beyond me. Please add such a setting ASAP. Thanks!
This expanding, blinking box is one of the most distracting features I have ever seen. Can we toggle it off?
