Callers wishing to leave a message rather than wait on hold would improve the customer service level. This is a global request and expectation.
You can work around this (for one and only one queue) by setting up extension #1 as a message-only extension. Still, this is basic functionality we'd expect to be built-in. (And by implication, they can dial any extension while in-queue, but still this is a messy hack.)
