Add a distinction for personal/work calls via RC App

I work from home and use my cell phone/RC app for the majority of my calls. Aside from seeing my office number, there is not a distinction of personal/work calls.

I like seeing the persons number so I can search the account as I am receiving the phone call to help with customer service and the person feeling like we care. If I use the only tool on the app currently for call forwarding, I cannot personalize their experience as easily.

If the incoming calls through the app could show "Ring Central Call" with the persons number listed it would be exponentially helpful.

    Hi Amber, you can add numbers before (pre-appended) or after (post-appended) the incoming number to help you identify the call.

    Is there any reason you are not using the RingCentral app? I would recommend doing that instead of forwarding to your cell, that way you will easily know that anything coming through the app is a work call, and will see the caller ID. If you're getting calls through a queue then you would also need to make sure the queue is set to display that information as there are a few options for what is displayed for incoming calls.


    You're going to run into problems distinguishing the calls AND seeing the caller ID if you are forwarding calls directly to your cell, as you have described. You can set your calls to show the inbound caller ID instead of the called number, but then they won't be easily distinguishable as work calls.
