Seriously looking to move over to Zoom for VOIP if this issue is not timely resolved. It looks like RC has known about this for YEARS and has yet to move on it. This company is getting bloated and moving like Jabba the Hutt. :(
The fact that I am having to waste a morning deleting over 200+ individual messages in the RC app because I recycled an extension for a new hire is RIDICULOUS. Why is this not a thing?? I can't even understand the logic of this not being added at the onset of the app. Unacceptable.
I am considering moving services from 9 of our locations to a different platform if this update is not underway soon. It is very silly that it was not in the original design. Very poorly executed in my opinion.
has anyone had any luck talking to RingCentral about this? I have tried to call and ask for a supervisor but was hung up on. I find it ludicrous that something so simple has been neglected for this long. I tried to email the chief technology officer but could not find a working address. I can't believe that management knows about this ridiculousness, I am guessing if we can make them aware of it they will light a fire under someone's ass and get something done about it. Should take the coders about 30 minutes to fix it! I do not have time to sit here for an hour deleting messages!
Please add this function to DELETE BULK Direct Messages, not texts. We (your customer) do not need the messages and RING CENTRAL certainly does not need to hoard this information on the "cloud". Do you?
i need to be able to delete the previous unread in bulk. like mark all read. i have 100 + in the text and dont know when i get a new one because it always says 99+
As an admin that is deleting a conversation, message by message this morning..... there has GOT to be a better way. It floors me this is not ad admin right.
There needs to be a way to delete message in bulk like you can from the desktop app. When you login to app.ringcentral.com/phone/sms all the old texts still appear even when the desktop app shows that they have all been cleared out. Like the little pencil you have on the app, to delete all, you really need to add this to the web login version. It is TEDIOUS when you schedule hundreds of appts like we do and have to delete them one by one. Please fix this/make this an option. We've been loyal customers for YEARS and this would be more helpful than you know.

We would recommend you create a new submission for your idea so we can get it in front of the correct teams.
I can delete all text message but not voice messages? That should change. We need to keep the entries empty, and deleting one by one has rendered it impossible
While adding the other bulk deletes, address the missing feature to delete IM conversations in total rather than just sending the message to archive. In fact, let us do that in bulk. I don't want to send them to archive and keep clutter. If I want them gone from my system, get rid of them.

When an admin invites a lot of external guests to communicate with the company, an account can end up with a lot of conversations. Currently, to remove from you, a user has to close one by one.

Can't believe this doesn't exist yet. Most other messaging apps have it, everybody needs it, and it's got to be trivial to program.

Definitely need this - I have applied retention period now but have thousands of old messages to delete and doing them one at a time is not feasible

Yes, PLEASE make it possible to delete contacts and only in ring central and NOT my outlook!!!
