Currently, when an attendee click a meeting link, the RingCentral Client is automatically downloaded every time. It is a common behavior to click the link in the meeting invite instead of going to the RC app and starting the meeting from there. This results in users having the client install file downloaded multiple times when not needed.
First option would be to detect if user already has the RC Client and prevent the download from initiating. If that isn't possible the change the web landing page to prompt the user to download the client instead of forcing it.

Either I wasn't clear, or I am not understanding your solution. The problem is that users are getting both the auto download AND the prompt to launch. If the user is being prompted to launch, why is the client being downloaded again? It is confusing.
Hi Edward,
This happens when Chrome (or whatever browser you are using) is blocking a browser plugin from running. When you try to launch the meeting, look for a small warning box at the top right of the Chrome browser stating that a plug-in was blocked. Just right-click on the warning and you'll see an option to allow the plug-in to run. This will allow Chrome to recognize that RC Meetings is already installed.
