This is a very common feature with most IVRs and is a widely used option for companies of all sizes.
Obviously, this could be difficult since 0-9 prompts are assigned, and all extensions would start with one of those numbers. Basically, there could be a 2 -3 second pause once the caller presses a number so the IVR can determine if the caller is choosing a prompt or wanting to dial an extension. Seems practical - would love to have this option.
I read that article and did not see where this was an option, maybe you meant to send a different link?
I also spoke with support who told me the option I requested isn't available and recommended I post it here. To clarify, we don't want a dial by name directory...we want callers to be able to dial a User's extension from the top level of the IVR.
