Recently everyone in my org started getting pop-up notifications for calls parked on private park lines. They find this incredibly annoying.
Our typical call flow is for a receptionist to park a caller on a private park, then contact the intended recipient who can pick up the call from any phone in the building. For this to work, we've set up four private park locations and placed all four in presence for every phone in the building. But that causes the notifications to pop up for everyone's softphone because the parks are on the HUD. This didn't happen previously on the Ring Central Phone app, it only started with the new desktop app.
PLEASE provide a way to suppress the pop-ups for parked calls. I already have enough pressure from my execs to switch the whole thing to Teams, and two of them have already said to me "I bet that doesn't happen in Teams."...
It's pathetic that it has been almost two years for this what couldn't even be called a feature, but core functionality to even be responded to by RingCentral, let alone implemented.
Yes we are new and aside from turning off all notifications we see the same. When you hid your taskbar it unhides every time and you have to click ringcentral to hide back, very annoying.
Same issue for us on a new deployment. This seems like a no brainer. It doesn't sound like any of us are using private parking in a way that it wasn't intended, does it? Voted. Hope to see this resolved.
Any update on this? We, too, would prefer to turn this notification OFF. Thanks
This sounds like the exact issue I have been having with the Desktop version. Everytime anyone in the organization Parks a call on any of our available Park locations, I receive a new notification alert on the desktop icon and when viewing the app, it's usually just a new Parked call. This is for any parked calls. It is incredibly annoying and also a distraction from the actual notifications that are important.
Please RingCentral Fix this, it's bad enough in our org that we're looking to migrate to Teams Phones instead
This report closely describes my experience as well, as my company has a very similar call flow.
Currently, whenever a call is parked on one of the four public park locations, all users receive a notification. It would be nice to be able to disable this notification, as most users are not responsible for monitoring the call park, but would like to maintain the ability to pick it up if necessary.
