Currently, when syncing the RingCentral App with Office365 Contacts, the only contacts that are pulled are from the primary contacts folder, not the subfolders that a user may have created.
It would be useful to either
Provide for the ability to choose subfolders to sync with from the RingCentral App
Just recursively look in the subfolders and sync everything within RingCentral.
I used to have this feature when I used RC desktop phone back in 2019. It would be REALLY helpful to have it back on the current desktop app when syncing with Microsoft 365. I have multiple subfolders, which I update multiple times a day. Currently I have to copy the contents of the relevant subfolders into the root Microsoft 365 contacts folder to sync with RC, which messes up the way I use contacts in my other applications.
The R App is underdeveloped. We can not move our company's phone system from the RC Phone App to the R App until contacts in the R app can sync with Outlook Subfolders.
We are still using the RC Phone App due to the fact that it has this functionality. How is it that the newer app does not. We cannot migrate fully to the R App until it, at a minimum, has the same functions as the old app! It is very frustrating having to work in two different applications.
I would like to add my support behind this.
We actually chose RingCentral due to the integration with Zoho CRM. Ironically, the M365 sync that Zoho CRM uses, does not get picked up by RingCentral.
Closing off this gap would be a critical feature enhancement for us.
