Yes a person can send an Attachment when sending a SMS Text with the RC Phone App or with the RC App but that Attachment can't be a PDF File for some reason.
99.9% of what I need to send people are PDF Files

It would really help to be able attach Word and PDF files via text message. Most users' phones are now able to access their cloud repositories. More and more, we send and request documents to/from clients via text message.

This is completely absurd that a PDF cannot be sent via SMS. 99.98% percent of what we send are pdfs. Everything prints to PDF.
this is a must have feature in the current times and technology available out there. no brainer to add
Definitely need the ability to text a PDF. It is archaic that RingCentral has not implemented and has not made plans to implement this especially with the increasing demand for this type of file integration.
PDF attachments to text messages are vital to my communication with construction trades. I have used other competitors to Ring Central, and they have the ability to attach PDFs to text messages. Please expedite this feature asap.
Just added a new member of management to our team - one of the 1st. things he asked was about sending PDFs via text - hate that I had to tell him this was not a viable option - WHEN is Ring going to join this millennium on this??????

If the answer is yes why do I get a message not send error message everytime I try to send a pdf through txt on my ringcentral line ?
I also requested a long time ago that the option of sending PDFs via RingCentral be returned. It used to be a feature and suddenly it was removed, I have reps on the road that need info that I send in a PDF format, and a lot of people use their phone for it, and now it is 10 times harder to communicate. please return the option of sending PDF files via ring Central . So this was suggested back in 2020 and its now almost 2023 and we still can not attach a PDF?
What other type of file do you send? We need the ability to attach a PDF. This is a business phone.

Desperately needed!!! Other text services provide this and handle it by automatically converting to a link to the PDF sent in the text.

YES, WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO EXT PDF'S. PLEASE ADD THIS FEATURE.
We need to be able to attach PDF file to Text. We work with drivers that respond better to Texts. They need to be able to access the orders via text. Our orders are always PDF format. We hope you can make this request possible. God bless.
I was told by my sales associate this was a current feature and I am upset to know now that it isnt.
