Ring Groups only forward calls to physical phone - not to Softphone/Mobile App? Merged

This is insane. There is no solution for ringing softphone / mobile app in a ring group, which severely limits call routing and handling when so many people don't have physical phones or work remotely.

Thanks for the clarification. I merged this with the existing idea.

Hi Jennifer, your answer doesn' really make sense to what I wrote. The problem is that if you add an extension (yes, with a digital line) to a ring group, that extension will ONLY BE ABLE TO RECIEVE THE FORWARDED CALLS ON A PHYSICAL PHONE. I will repeat: if a user is added as a member of a ring group, that user will NOT RECIEVE CALLS FROM THAT RING GROUP ON THEIR DESKTOP OR MOBILE APPLICATIONS. THEY WILL ONLY RECIEVE THE RING GROUP CALLS ON A PHYSICAL PHONE. I was never talking about virtual numbers or extensions without digital lines so your comment is irrelevant.

    Hi Bridget,

Ring Groups only forward to an extension with a digital line (regardless of whether the line has a desk phone or uses an app). If the extension has a number and can't be added to a ring group, a number is just a virtual number.
