Hi there.
Windows 10
RC Desktop version 22.1.31.2866 Windows (x64)
I sync my iPhone contacts to Microsoft 365 and have connected RC Contacts to Microsoft 365 as a viable way to sync my mobile phone contacts list with RC.
I have many contact entries which comprise a business name entered in the Company field, with no Firstname or Lastname entered as it's an entry for a company or business, not a person.
RC does not dislay the Company name in Contacts. All I get is numerous entries with a phone number only.
The Business name field exists and is displayed when I click "View profile".
RC Contacts will also not search on a Company name so I cannot search for the contact I am trying to find (knowing that the contact exists).
Why does RC not display or search the Company field that exists in the contact record?
How can this fault be rectified such that my contacts list will display a Company name and number and I can search for a contact by Company?
Cheers
Craig
Support case opened, please advise if there is something we are missing to enable this searchability. Thanks
Well over six months down & what action by RC to correct this obvious fault?
Thanks Tim for that observation that "Company" shows up in the phone app. I would add the clarification that doesn't show in the call log for me but does show when I look deeper at the information on the contact. (That at least gives me SOME hope that RingCentral might be moving on this. Hoping they can improve the desktop app).
FYI: In the phone app (at the least iOS one) I can even search by Company name and edit the Microsoft Office 365 contact. But alas, it doesn't show the company name in the phone log. :(
Same, how can you not search for a company name?
This is kind of insane that we have to ask for this? It displays in my phone app, but not on the desktop app.
Why do we have to ask for this as a feature? This is a bug. This would be like requiring us to ask for the ability to dial on a phone app and treating that like it was a feature. This is like pretending that wheels on a car are a FEATURE... they are not.. Without them it is not a car. We should not be voting on this. It should be their highest priority.
