The new layout makes it difficult to access Text Messages

I do not like the new layout because I cannot separately access text messages or see notification badges separately for text messages.

In the new layout, the default is for Text to be in the Unified Inbox.

If you prefer Text on its own tab, go to Settings >> Customize Tabs, and turn off the "Unified Inbox".
