Hi Tim,
We have about 40k faxes in/out a month, and have them emailed to a specific address. On our Exchange server we use a program from CodeTwo - Exchange Rules Pro, and it allows us to strip the fax attachment and store it on a network share - and then send the group/team a small 8k 'you've got fax' message.
This is really nice as it doesn't fill the Exchange server with 20+ copies of the same fax file.
We also set up a separate set of user email accounts to cc: the original fax, both as an archive, and also a 'oops, someone deleted the fax file' option - it's an easy copy/paste to bring it back.
