Another benefit is that we can hide extensions when used as "Cloud Connect" extensions in the Nice in Contact contact center. Currently we wanted to add an extension number to the skill name to make searching easier, but it also pulls up the underlying clould connect with the same extension. If I could hide that from the directory, it would force the agents to pick the correct transfer route, on the same platform, etc.
There are a few other 'requests' for this already posted if you want to vote for those. I've also chatted with a account rep about this... staff doesn't need to see the 21 fax phone numbers we have either!
There are only certain ways to make the phone system work the way we need. including adding ring groups/limited extensions to 'users'. we don't need to see all of these ring groups and non user phone numbers in the contact list and it just clutter...
