Just wanted to see if there has been an update on this feature. It would be very helpful for supervisors to have this feature to monitor staff activity based on the (read) notification
Do you have any recent view on that feature request?
I see that back in may 2022 there was no firm date known, is there anything plan for 2023?
This is much needed and feels like such basic functionality - feels crazy that it was first suggested over two years ago and still hasn't been implemented!
This is the one major blocker remaining for us switching the whole company completely to RC.
This would be brilliant, this is the biggest complaint we have on users staying with teams. It would be great to have this implemented so we can finally ditch teams and stick to one solution!
Please add this functionality ASAP, we want our 200 users to adopt this ASAP over Teams!
@Becky Hensley - thank you for your reply. However, this thread is well over a year old, and the fact that ya'll don't have a firm date for this feature seems to indicate you aren't listening to your customers. :-(
Unfortunately, we don't have a firm date, but it is a planned feature. We'll be sure to update here when we have additional details to share.
Given the age of this thread/idea, the "Planned" tag, and the ubiquity of this feature among competetors, is there a target implementation date? I'd love to ditch Teams altogether, but this is definitely a snag.

Frankly, I'm very surprised this isn't already part of the app. I just started using RingCentral upon a job change. I'm used to Teams, and this is a valuable function that already exists in Teams.
Is there an update on the timing of launching this feature?
This would be incredibly useful to make sure colleagues and directors have read key messages. At the moment I have to call the message recipient to check they have read my message - which is a bit pointless and wastes time since I could have called in the first place.
Every major chat platform, like WhatsApp and co, has a feature like this and I a surprised that RC has not added this.
We too don't see the feature of read receipts enabled in RingCentral messages !

I completely agree with this ask. It would be great to know when a message has been read by the recipient. That said, it would also be nice to have a means for looking at a message without it being marked as 'read'. Other messaging apps call this 'peeking' at a message... you can right click on a name where a message is waiting and say 'peek' at the message to see what it says without marking it as 'read'.
Please add this feature ASAP.
This is a critical need for workflow and efficiency - please also allow admins to turn on for the entire organization.
