We have several team members that would like to start our daily conference call, but currently we are limited to having one main host. That main host can then add other co-hosts or change who the host is but we would like the ability to have more than one host to start the meeting.
Benefit of such feature | Ability to run team calls but not rely on one person to always generate/start the meeting. |

How many votes are needed for a feature to be reviewed for adding?
This feature is a need especially for assistants scheduling for their bosses. Many other platforms have this option already. Please update us on the status.
This feature is needed. We use recurring meetings that staff/clients get used to. However, there are always going to be times where the normal host of the recurring meeting is out sick or for some other reason. It's something any company using recurring meetings is going to face, so this is a big need.
This is a big issue. At a school we could have 2-3 people running a weekly meeting which would need multiple host. Also, if someone sets up a re-occurring but wont be in for one of those meetings the other users can't join w/o them, and yes we require a lobby/waiting room due to our corporate compliance rules.
Agreed, we just signed up with RingCentral and this is one of the major drawbacks. GoToMeeting has this feature which is the tool we are moving away from.
Lack of this feature is a big hindrance for us. As someone who owns a lot of meetings it makes any time off I take far more stressful than it needs to be. All other meeting tools offer this functionality - please take it seriously.
This is the most frustrating thing about ring central is this. Please implement!
Please implement this.
Has this yet been implemented? I have our COO's Admin assistant going on FMLA and someone else needs to run these meetings. HELP
The host becomes unavailable and unable to log into the meeting to assign a new host or co-host. The participant who will become a temporary host of an existing meeting cannot grab the hosting of an existing / scheduled meeting. Want a new feature in the future wherein a particular participant (if allowed in the settings via RC App or WebPortal) can grab the hosting of the existing meeting if host becomes unavailable. We also want a feature wherein a meeting creator can assign a multiple co-host in advance (User) when creating/ scheduling a meeting.
It is necessary for our organization to have multiple staff members be able to start many of our weekly and/or monthly reocurring meetings. This feature would help us cover vacations, PTO, and staff being called away for other tasks. Right now, we have to use the "Delegate" feature which is not the most efficient workaround. It requires a bit of forward knowledge of a staff member's changing schedule, which usually is never the case.
The current format forces me to join the meeting, try to quickly assign another person as host, then log off before our potential client signs in. This necessitates another user from our company signing in early in order to transfer the host credentials before the client signs in, or keep our client waiting in the waiting room while we get our act together. This creates meeting confusion and looks unprofessional.
We want to be able to assign the host credential to any user within our organization when creating the invite, before the meeting starts.
I facilitate quite a few back to back meetings throughout my days as a Project Manager and it's quite frustrating when not using my Personal Room ID, that even when I assign a co-host, leave, and start my next meeting, it closes out the first meeting. This is irritating when having a team huddle where the team wants to finish discussing an item and I have to hop to another meeting. They then have to rejoin or recreate their own new meeting. It would make sense if using your personal room ID in this manner, but separate room links really shouldn't do this. Other communication programs I've used in the past have not seemed to have this issue.
Please add this feature.
Please add this. We have weekly orientation seminars using RC Meetings and sometimes the scheduled host is unavailable and an alternate needs to be able to start the meeting without rescheduling.
You have zoom as your engine and zoom has this option. It should not be that hard for RC to add this as an option when creating a meeting. Co-Host section for more than one host.
Adding a co-host once the meeting has started is no use IF the Host cannot get on to start it. Need the option for Co-host as a backup to the host.
In our organization we have recruiters that company, These recruiters need RING Central to allow scheduling multiple meetings at the same time for managers.

TEAMS allows for multiple meetings to happen and be scheduled at the same time, This is not selling the transition over to RING CENTRAL.
The provision to assign an alternate host is not an ASK. It is REQUIRED. Every office or group that uses your app NEEDS this now.
I echo what Steff Harry wrote - I have a staff person who scheduled a public meeting for tonight and suddenly today is out sick. My only choice is to know their password and logon impersonating them (bad juju doing it that way) or cancel the entire meeting and reschedule as the new host. That creates havoc for attendees who might not get the new meeting link in time to follow the change. WE NEED a way to assign a different person as the host before the meeting starts. An account admin should be able to access an individual meeting settings and change this on the fly.
This is a no-brainer. We shouldn't even have to ask for it.
RingCentral has promised over and over and over and over and over and over and over again to add this feature that Zoom has had for years. In fact, before they scrubbed their user forum, it was promised to be added "by the end of 2020".
Now, people get to vote on it again and it has a whopping seven votes.
Anyone who needs this functionality quite simply should move to platform that supports it.
