Please allow admin to access every extensions text messages AND voice mail.
There is no expectation of privacy so there's no reason we shouldn't be able to view our team's text messages. This would have especially helped us right now because a former employee is making false claims against us and we know that she was conspiring with another employee.
We are being charged for going over our allotted number of texts per month, so it would greatly help us to at least see the data if there need for us to add another package for sending/receiving. It would also give us better records on client communication. Please we need this report.
I thought we were supposed to be able to see the text msgs the same way we see the emails. That's one of the main reasons I went to RingCentral was because I wanted that integration. Now I find out it isn't and it seems there is no official record of when the texts were sent and how many there were.
Due to a Regulatory Exam Perspective, a monthly report of text messages to and from the company should be easily accesible. The text messages sent and received should be able to be viewed, not just how many.
It would be beneficial to be able to see the analytics around the text messaging for our company.
We are now being charged for going over our allotted number of texts per month, so it would greatly help to at least see which employees are sending/receiving and if the content is relevant or better suited to an email. It would also give us better records on client communication. Please add this to reports!
Agree, we are completely blind when it comes to text messaging and that is how 72% of our customers reach out to us.
+1 on Eduardo's comment. Even if we can't see the actual text messages, it would be helpful to log the extension doing the texting and the recipient's phone number.
Let us view at least the number (quantity) of sms sent per day week and month.
@Pratibha,
We are a private company and in our policies, there is no expectation of privacy. We own all license and systems. Analytics does us no good. We only have 4 employees and none of them are to have their work RC on their cell phones. Only contractors are allowed to have RC on their personal cell phones and all calls should only be for work. If they choose to use it for personal chat, messaging, or phone calls, they signed a document that they understand there's no expectation of privacy.
In Oregon, it is legal to record telephone conversations with the consent of at least one party (our team members). All of our calls are recorded and our team knows that as well. Why would we not be allowed to have our company chats about our business as well?
Thanks for the feedback. Is the need to be able to access the actual text vs being able to see analytics around text message (SMS) usage? For the former, we will have to ensure privacy and security needs across the globe and make sure compliance.
It should be part of security.
This is a very important part of tracking employees time "on task"
Same - we had an employee we fired but we could have really used this to get rid of him sooner and avoid the damage he caused.
