Recently we moved over from Grasshopper phone systems and there they had a feature where users could archive SMS messages on their phone app.
This feature is very helpful from a productive standpoint as it allows our staff to reply to inquiries via SMS on their phone app and then archive that SMS message/text history, having it available if that customer/prospect ever replied back.
With RingCentral currently, if our staff replies to a prospect or customer via RingCentral phone app, the only options are:
1. Delete it, which causes our staff to lose the text conversation history. So, if that customer/prospect replies back then we have no history to reference, causing a poor experience for our customers/prospects.
Or
2. To preserve the history, then our staff have to keep the SMS messages in their current view, where it clutters their inbox/view, causing productivity downtime and the potential for missed SMS conversations. Users have to comb through 'Aged' SMS constantly cleaning out SMS that are dead/never got a reply back.
