    We just started using RingCentral a couple weeks ago and this is an issue for us as well. Thankfully, agents still receive calls, but if they don't do anything in the app, they show "Inactive" in their app, and "Offline" to everyone else.

    The problem is that we frequently transfer calls to specialists. The app says they are "Offline" even though they are at their desks available to assist customers. As the original poster mentioned, they can be working on their computer, but if they don't do something in the app it will make them Inactive/Offline.

    We just went live on RingCentral 2 days ago. I cannot believe this is a default feature. We have people appearing Invisible and not getting any calls because they had gone > 15 minutes without a call.
