much larger video file limit in SMSWe are sending texts to our clients all the time. To personalize this, we sometimes like to instead send them a little video in which we thank them in person, introduce the company, etc etc, different themes in different videos. With just 1.5 MB limit per video in SMS, this is impossible. It would be an absolute awesome addition to our client approach and make us stand out to competition as well. 7 votes

SMS Toggle ON/OFF at the the User LevelCurrently there is no way for administrators to manage the individual SMS functions of their team without support. Much like Faxing to the desktop has an "ON/OFF" toggle on the user level, now that SMS is not unlimited and for other factors, administrators should be able to self manage who has the right to send/receive SMS to their RCO App. Perhaps in addition a limit to how many messages they can send without additional approval. With regulations becoming more strict as well for business' SMS this will grow in importance. 6 votes

allow SMS to be seen by all usersallowing all users to see and interact with SMS messages - I own an insurance agency, so when customers text the office, it would make it much easier if both myself and my employee(s) would be able to see those messages. 6 votes

Add Message like features to SMS ThreadsWe text our clients a LOT. To the point it can be difficult to keep track of things that have been addressed or not. Having some of the functionality available in normal Messages for SMS threads would be a huge help to manage them. I realize SMS doesn't support the interactive type features where both sides of a convo see things (tasks, events, etc). But being able to do things like Pin specific texts, Attach files to a thread, have the images tab show any images sent/received, assign a task/event (and perhaps give the task assignee visibility to the thread),… 7 votes

Out of office message for textsWith clients starting to utilize the texting feature with our team, we need to be able to notify our clients if they text a team member who is out of the office - like you do with emails. It would be great if this could pull in from the out of office message that you put in office.com/outlook. 18 votes

Automatically add assigned numbers to SMS CampaignIt would be very useful if any new number added to the account(s) be automatically added to the SMS Campaign otherwise it will be a step administrators will forget to do and the new phone user will not be able to use their text function. 3 votes

IVR for order status, sending texts and more interactive experiences.I just called Ring Central today and the IVR was completely different than what it use to be. It now has more features for announcements while on hold. It gives the caller an estimated hold time. It also sends text messages to the caller's phone number when the caller says "send chat" or whatever the prompt is. I wonder why that option is not available for their customers. Companies have been using those features for years and they are now outdated, but we still don't have those features available to us. Having the ability to automate and integrate our phone… 4 votes

Send Google/Apple Maps Links via SMSSeems crazy that you can't SMS a customer a Google/Apple Maps link to a location as it's getting marked as spam. We're a service based business that travels and meets customers on various site locations. Often times the 'address' given brings people to the wrong location so it's easier to drop a PIN and share the actual hyperlink to the meeting location. See an example below. 2 votes

display company name instead of phone number when using smsSince we can't currently display the company main number when texting out - defaults to operator number - it would be great to have the company name, instead of the phone number, display when we text out to clients. 20 votes

.HEIC File Format on SMSPlease add support for file formats .HEIC .HEIF .HEVC on SMS. We are a healthcare company that request timesheets from nurses. 50% of our user base has iphones and it is an impossible task to request them to set different photo settings to send in a .jpeg instead. Passing on this task to our customers discourages them and results in lost business for us. 5 votes

Add ability to allow a user to view another user's text messageGeneral messages come to my assistant's phone and I need to be able to access them. I can access her voicemail messages using my assistant's voicemail PIN, but would like a way to access my assistant's text messages too, possibly through delegation feature, or any other way that would make this possible. Would like to be able to access them in the RingCentral Desktop App. 8 votes
