  1. We currently cannot quickly text a customer while we are on the phone with that customer while using the desktop program on computer (not the extension). We have to take multiple steps such as: Go to text and create a new text, search their contact, etc. A simple and easy solution to this would be one of 2 options below:Show the Ongoing Call in the calls area, while we are on the call (currently the call only shows after we end the call).   2. It's important to see the number where the customer sent the text from. To know which assigned number it came from and to track the customer's information. Please put back the feature on the RC Desktop App and Mobile App. Screenshot was taken 03/26/2024 at that time we can see from what number we were texting from.

  7. Share contacts from an apple or android device through RingCentral App as an SMS. Share contact is currently enabled however it sends as an internal message through Chat Message inside RingCentral App.

  8. auto delete SMS after a day on a user level

    or SuperAdmin capability to manage data retention policy for a user level

    If you log in as SuperAdmin on the RC App> click on Settings > Administration> Messaging> Manage beside Manage data retention policy, you can set it to delete after 1 day. This will delete other messages too like voicemails and faxes.
    This however would apply to all users for the account so possible we can apply this to only one user.

  16. Neither the Automator (beta) or the RingEX APIs allow you to respond to an incoming SMS message using the recipient's phone number unless the automation or application is running as that user. Sending a confirmation of an opt-out request (STOP) from a different phone number is confusing to the customer and doesn't leave any clues in the user's SMS history. The response should come from the user's phone number and there is no easy way to set that up.

    Also, there should be opt-out tracking within RingEX so that if a user attempts to text a customer who has previously…

We would like for RingCentral to disable the ability for users to be able to post GIFs in text messages on the RC mobile app. It doesn't appear that the GIF function is built into the app (rather, it's a keyboard shortcut option on one's smart phone) but this opens up the possibility for users to send inappropriate images (internally or externally).

  20. Option to allot certain number of message to a certain number before I buy the SMS bundle.

    For example, if I purchase 2500 sms so can I assign a 1000 sms to a certain number and the rest of the 1500 to another number or maybe leave them open to be shared and used by different phone numbers
