  2. I'd love to see the new "Send New Text" pop-up window reverted back to the old format where you could see any prior text history when sending a new text. The new popup window has a constricting feel, especially when texting someone there's prior history with that you can't see in the same way as you used to when clicking the "Send New Text" button

  4. I have advised my clients that when they want to cancel their appointment for my business to send a text message containing the word "CANCEL" to my company number. Instead of me receiving just the SMS those customers ending up on the OPTED-OUT numbers, now I have no way of sending SMS to them. Please remove this keyword "Cancel" from automatically going to opted out number, my keyword for opting out of SMS is "STOP"

    As a workaround while this is being reviewed, instead of asking customers to respond with the word Cancel, you could ask to respond with 1 to Accept and 2 to Cancel.

  5. I would like to be able to order the template texts alphabetically or what ever so that I can find them in a logical order. ie - all texts pertaining to Reminders, or Paperwork Due, etc. - I like and use the templates every day. I used to have a text file on the side of my RC that I would cut and paste into RC. So great addition!

  6. The caller ID for the main company number is shown by default for any text messages sent from any individual extensions. The idea is similar to having caller ID show as the main company number rather than the individual extension.

  7. Prior to the newest update, when sending a new text, you would type in the number and click 'next' which would bring you to the entire text thread giving you the option to either call or text. This would also allow you to view the entire text thread. With this new update, doing the same function - sending a new text- it now has a pop up to create the text within this pop up window and 'send', NOT giving you the option to click 'next' and take you to the text thread. This is a major inconvenience to day…

  8. On the RingCentral desktop app, you used to be able to see the full SMS history when you went to create a new SMS text. Now when you create a new SMS text message, you don't see the history. It was super helpful to have the history there any time you created a new SMS message. The new functionality is not great for awareness of the most recent text message.

  10. For a short time, we had the ability to check a box, that appended a message with verbiage that added the OPT OUT wording (see attachment). That feature is now gone. Please bring it back! One of the most helpful SMS things I've seen and used! Please bring it back ASAP.

  11. When we copy/paste a screenshot or image into an SMS Text thread it just shows "image.png" and we have no way to confirm if it is the correct image sent to the correct customer/person. We deal with sensitive financial information and this risk bears great consequence for us. Please make a way to see the image that is being pasted into the SMS thread!!

  15. Currently there is not a way to grant access to managers/supervisors to the SMS messages their team members send and receive. There is the ability to grant this type of access to user's call logs using User Groups. Would be great if SMS messages could be part of what is imparted with User Group permissions.

  16. RingCentral App doesn't make any attempt to handle those carrier restrictions.

    Some of the carriers apparently lowered their size limits but RC App still on 1.5 MB Limit
    Users will think that 1.5 is the limit but with other carriers it only allows 1 MB.

    Requesting for a feature wherein RingCentral App will automatically detect carrier MMS limit so users would be notified if the file being sent to another carrier is exceeding the limit regardless if they update their limit.

  17. When customer tried to add a T-Mobile phone number for text notifications, the carrier list does not include T-Mobile. Please include T-Mobile as part of the carriers to received SMS notification.

  18. This week (around March 4th, 2025), the desktop version of RC changed so I can no longer see the SMS history when sending a new text message. I want to be able to type in a number or contact name and see the history of the text thread instead of a blank window with nothing of the previous messages. Please switch it back!
