Feature Request: French Park Location Announcements and Call Waiting for Call Queues
- French Language Support for Park Location Announcements
The customer is using Call Park and would like the system-generated park location announcement (for example, "Call parked on location 801") to play in French instead of English.
Currently, the language of this announcement is tied to the account's regional settings and system-generated prompts, with no option to customize the language specifically for Call Park announcements. The customer would like the ability to:
Configure the language used for Call Park announcements independently of the account's default language.
Support French-language announcements for multilingual environments.
2. Call Waiting Functionality for Call Queue Agents
The customer utilizes call queues where only one agent is often available. They would like agents who are already on a call to receive a visual or audible notification when another caller is waiting in the queue.
Currently, RingCentral marks agents as busy while they are on a call, and additional callers remain in the queue until the agent becomes available. The customer is requesting:
Call waiting notifications for active call queue agents.
Visual indicators showing callers waiting in queue.
Optional audible alerts when additional queue calls arrive while an agent is on another call.
These enhancements would improve call handling efficiency and provide greater visibility into incoming customer calls, particularly for small teams with limited agent availability.
