Today, guests joining a meeting can do so entirely from the browser. Signed-in users are directed to the RingCentral app for the full meeting experience, including features like recordings, annotations, and AI Notes that aren't available in the older browser-only experience. We're continuing to look at ways to streamline this for browser-based joins.

Thanks for this suggestion. Remote control during screen sharing is available today, but only when both the person sharing and the person requesting control are on the RingCentral desktop app.

Many of my meetings involve 3 distinct groups - me as the host, my customer(s), and an outside remote support person. I need for my customer to be able to screen share while allowing remote keyboard control to be granted to the remote support person. This capability worked with RC Meetings, but is not supported in RC Video.

11 votesA meeting host can add a teammate to a live call by searching their name, using Smart Invite. Available today in the RingCentral app on mobile, and coming soon to desktop and browser in July 2026.

Has this feature in fact been committed for release during 4Q2021? Hope so! It is an essential feature.
