Add Remote Control feature to RC Desktop App - Video
It appears this was a feature in the Meetings App, but is not available in the current version of the Desktop App and our account does not allow us to run Meetings. This is helpful when staff are in a video meeting and they want to hand off control to another presenter or tech support person.

This is critical to the function

This is critical for the reason that we use RingCentral to use the remote-control feature and needs to be a part of the new version.

There should be a Remote Control option when doing screen-share sessions in the All-new RingCentral Video Meetings.

I use that a lot as a developer doing quick edits on my other team members screen. I'm not sure why that feature would have been dropped.

The status of this feature request has been changed to implemented, however I do not see that it is available in RingCentral Video yet. I do not see a way for a participant to allow remote control, nor do I see a way for the host to request remote control. Is there an updated version I need to download or something? Can you explain how this feature has been implemented? Perhaps I am not looking in the correct spot for the controls????

What does implemented mean? I am still not able to give remote control in the RC windows desktop app.

Last update from RingCentral said this would be available on April 12th. It is now May 3rd and the idea is still in "Planned" status. Is there any update? This entire move to RCV truly feels like a half-baked huge step backwards with the number of features that are still missing. Remote control has been a core feature of enterprise communication applications for years.

We use Ring Central for meetings and screen sharing. It would be really nice to be able to allow the ability to enable "Remote Control" of either the host or the recipient to take control of the desktop.
Thanks, -

Fix or bring back meeting as the new version needs remote control settings and the annotate feature does not align for all users

RingCentral meetings had an option to remotely control a screen that was being shared via requesting control and then accepting that request. This feature should have been added into the RingCentral App before killing off the meeting app.

Since our company has switched over to the new app from RingCentral Meetings to RingCentral Video, we have not been able to request mouse control in screenshare meetings.
