Enhance the "Join from your browser" feature
Currently, RC Meetings has an existing feature to provide an option to participants to join from their browser but would still have to cancel the initial prompt to open or download the RC Meetings app.The customer is requesting to add an option that would disable the prompt to open or download the RC Meetings app and would automatically connect the participant to the meeting through their browser.

... from your browser" settings option is not visually a clear option, which is causing confusion and delays for external users. We are requesting the webpage that appears when clicking a RingCentral meeting link to be adjusted to make the “Join from Your Browser” option larger/more clear that it is an actual option on the page, as well as to stop automatically redirecting the users to a completely different webpage that contains no options to join the meeting, only an option to sign up with RingCentral, which is unnecessary for the user to join the session. This will ensure our customers do not continue to consistently experience issues with joining RingCentral meetings. We create and send RingCentral meeting links to our customers (not RingCentral users) to hold discussions and to perform training. However, our customers have had consecutive issues with joining the meetings. We have observed this cycle throughout our time using RingCentral, and from our experience has delayed customers from joining the session by about 8-10 minutes on average:1. Customer clicks RingCentral Meeting link.2. Customer is navigated to a page that gives three options:- “Launch Meeting”- “Download Now”- “Join from Your Browser”3. If our customer does not have the application installed, “Launch Meeting” does nothing. The options available below “Launch Meeting” are very small, and therefore not obvious to the external user that they are alternatives when encountering issues with launching meetings. A large percentage of our customers do not realize “Join from Your Browser” is something they can click in order to join the session.4. Additionally, this webpage will automatically navigate to another webpage after 30-60 seconds. The resulting webpage does not have any options to join the meeting. This webpage actually tells the customer to sign up for a RingCentral account, which is unnecessary and confusing… At this point, the customer thinks they have to sign up for RingCentral in order to join the session. The customer is therefore completely confused, as well as completely stuck. The customer is forced to close the page and click the link again to try to join the meeting again. This cycle continues until the customer calls or emails us directly for assistance.

not all customers/participants will have RingCentral. it's difficult to uninstall/reinstall the apps for participants. As it is, for RingCentral Meetings, the link to "join by browser" link is pretty small, and easily missed when you're not actively looking for it. It would be great if it was bigger, or initiated by default, so it's the first thing the user sees. If it was larger, or if it was the default option, especially when it detects that the app is not installed, it would be easier, than having to go into the settings to look for it. Hopefully this can be applied to both RingCentral Meetings as well as RingCentral Video

A more user-friendly way to open the meeting directly on the mobile browser of the user. Currently, the user has to select Desktop view of the browser on mobile in order to open the meeting in browser. This is not very convienet as majority users have no idea about the Desktop view check.

Customer is requesting the ability to remove the pop-up to download the RC Meetings App to join a RC Meeting. This is confusing for their customers and NW Mutual does not want this pop up to occur. They only want the link to join via a browser. Customer has stated that Zoom has this ability to remove the popup

An advertised benefit of using RingCentral Video is the ability to join meetings via web browser without downloading an app. Many meeting participants use mobile devices rather than a computer (desktop, laptop, notebook) to join a meeting. As it stands, using a computer, a participant can join via web browser only using Google Chrome & Chromium Edge 79. However, for RingCentral Video to truly stand out for not having to download an app, it is absolutely necessary for RingCentral to offer mobile phone and tablet users the capability to join meetings via web browser also—at minimum through use of Google Chrome mobile app; although Safari and Firefox need to be included for mobile and desktop use. Having not only desktop, but mobile web browser join a meeting options gives everyone the ability to have less stressed video meetings, this includes internal company team meetings and company to external client meetings. In short, it would beneficial for RingCentral Video to be able to be used for participants joining meetings via web browser using not only desktop but mobile devices also. The browsers that both desktop and mobile should support are Chrome, Safari, and Firefox. (Thank you!)
