Submitting this idea request on behalf of customer, Crown Packaging: The new RingCentral desktop app UI is lacking detail in the "Phone" app. For example, the previous interface showed team member's extensions, but the new interface does not show that detail. The new Phone interface has a lot of blank white space. Rather than have all of that dead space, can the call detail area on the left be enlarged further to the right to be able to pull in the extension?

Customer called in and asked on how to log out his RC desktop app. The customer advised that he followed the instruction in support.ringcentral.com (https://support.ringcentral.com/article-v2/Log-Out-RingCentral-Phone-Desktop.html?brand=RC_US&product=RingCentral_Phone&language=en_US ), however, was not able to find the log-out button in Settings. Instead, we were able to find it in Display Picture (top -left of the app) then Sign-Out. Please update the article. Thank you!

  5. When changing an emergency address with the RC Desktop application a dialog is shown with current Company ERLs and personal PERLs. Presently the Company ERLs are shown first followed by the PERLs.With hybrid work commonplace these days users often must switch between home and work addresses. PERLs are a convenient way to toggle this. Yet in the RC Desktop App the ERLs are shown first, followed by the PERLs (see attached image).   9. It is hard to differentiate between conversations, visually, except for the side bar that indicates the name or group being spoken to. It would be extremely helpful to have the ability to change each conversation visually so that we would have visual cues that indicate which conversation with which we're about to communicate.An example would be to set Person A to have a blue background while Person B would have a green background with square watermarks. Being able to snap elements of the RingCentral app interface in and out to run it in a more focused/minimal way would be helpful as it does take up a fair bit more screen real estate compared to Slack, which we had previously used for messaging. I know we can zoom the interface view to use a smaller font but the current, monolithic interface still doesn’t lend itself to running in a more lightweight mode

  12. I'd like to carrier the provider's name of the inbound and outgoing calls. I would like Carrier information or the ability to do it. I'm a fraud hunter and use RingCentral to put an end to it. I also would like to put flags on calls for future review without having some expensive CRM. The ringcentral app is the best and I want to make it even better plus safer for people.   14. Is it possible to customize the softphone to process the audio stream differently? In case of language neutralization, we don’t want to send the support person’s audio stream directly over call. We instead want the translated stream to be passed over the call. It would require customization in the softphone. Will we have the option for such customizations in the softphone audio stream handling flow? Is the audio stream a dual channel?

  18. Hello, we noticed that our employees are able to manually change their calling out line (via the app and desktop). Can you disable this function so that employees can ONLY use the numbers that they were assigned? Although we tell them not to switch things on their ends, it still happens, and customers end up calling the wrong numbers since the Caller ID shows our private number on their end.
