  3. Users often send multiple messages back-to-back, sending a message as they complete each thought, rather than composing a full message and posting once. This is a natural way many people communicate in chat and IM interfaces. It would be great if the app could combine consecutive messages from one user into a single message visually. There could some invisible timer in the background so if a minute or two passed with no new posts, and the same user posted another message, that would be treated as a separate message.RC Classic did something like this - see attached screenshot.   4. Automatic Replies in messaging for direct messages would be helpful when you will have a time of unavailability, such as time Out of Office or in Training.

The old RingCentral softphone app had a feature where you could see other numbers entered into the user profile in RingCentral when you searched for someone in the phone app. This allowed for you to put in Mobile numbers along with RingCentral numbers and see those in searching the public address list within the app. The new RingCentral app does not do the same. I created a video and will attach it to better explain what I am talking about.

  6. I'm an attorney. Text threads/strings have become a source of evidence in many litigation cases. I regularly ask my clients to provide me with an entire thread. Some will send me multiple screen shots. But, some send me the entire thread printed out chronologically; not a screen shot. I thought RingCentral, being a cutting edge company, would have that capability. You don't. I think you should add that capability.

I work in a complex human service agency where it's hard for support staff to know where to tranfer calls (we have 5 offices, 2 different target populations and numerous departments that handle different programs). It's very common (especially with new staff) for calls to mistranfered and the client leaves a message with the wrong staff member.. The only way I've found to reliably send the message to the correct user is to either use the physical phone or call my own number and then I can transfer it. The apps (desktop and mobile) do not have this function. You…

  8. It‘s useful to share video files from the camera roll. In many cases a video transports more information compared to a photo. Additionally the recording of a video directly for the chat should be available. All big messengers offer such features.

  9. When on PTO no one reads your status so you still get messages and calls causing urgent messages to be missed as person awaits response. A canned out of office response would be more efficient

  11. Hello, I have a suggestion. Can you add a comment feature to where people can form a comment thread on a particular message. Ie) A asks B to file a document. Once complete B can comment under A's original message letting A know that the task has been completed. This will be a LOT cleaner, especially for people that have multiple messages with each other.

  12. This would be useful if an employee likes to keep messages in their mailboxes and need to transfer it to another extension. We get alot of email and these seem to disappear within the inbox when transferred that way.

  13. When I add a job title for a user through https://service.ringcentral.com/application/users/, that job title is not added or synced up with the title in the RingCentral desktop app.This would allow better admin management of the organization.

Hello RingCentral Dev team,Please migrate the functionality from https://service.ringcentral.com/.../messages/ page, to the new Windows and Mac RingCentral GLIP App. Enable the Queue Managers to listen to and delete queue voicemails right from within the same app that they use to access their personal voicemails. This would be an invaluable addition and keep them working within one unified app.Please and thank you!

  16. When I try to make outbound calls, it only lets me add 4 other participants to the call. When this happens, it gives a fast busy signal and does not let me add them in. I know that there is the option to provide the callers with a conference phone number and code, but the clients I am working with are lower functioning and would not be able to keep track of the appointment information and phone number. I would like to have the capability to add anywhere from 2 - 8 people onto a single phone call.

According to this article, any contacts you import from your cell address book will not appear in your Desktop app. That is nuts! https://support.ringcentral.com/article/5-10-Adding-a-Personal-Contact-via-Android.htmlCurrently, our users e-mail, calendar and contact book do sync between their browser based mail/calendar tool, and their cell phone apps using Active Sync / Exchange format. (We use a program called Group Office for our system, not O365 or Google). If an old program like Group Office can do that, I am sure RC should be able to do this too.   19. Because when I use my 2nd line to dial out so that my main line is open for incoming calls I have to look up the client and get their number or double enter all of our clients into both accounts, lot of extra time and work .

  20. I don't have any Company contacts, but I do have Personal contacts. I would like to have the page open with Personal as the default so I don't have to remember to do that each time I need a contact.
