Invite company team member to an active video call or screen share
From the invite participants button, there should be an option to send a direct message to a company team member, and/or the ability to call their extension. Currently, the option to call by phone does access my contact list or allow me to enter a fellow team members extension. If I use the desktop app to call them, or they call me, there has to be an easy way to merge or move that call to an existing meeting.Case example. I am hosting a screen share (or video meeting) with someone. I want to invite a colleague to this meeting. If I send an email invite, I don't know if they are available. If I call them (or they call me), to have them join the current active video meeting, I have to message them the meeting info, they must hang up then join the meeting. I would prefer to be able to merge the voice call to the current video meeting.

Any update from RingCentral on this? This feature would greatly help us transition away from Zoom.

Any time frame on when this feature will be available? It has been in the planning stage since December 2022. Seems like a long time for an extremely useful feature

In Zoom, I can open an empty video chat, click Invite, and then be able to click on my contacts' faces and it will call the person. If I click Invite in a RC video, I'm given the option to send an invite by email or text, but I can't just call someone. I would like this feature.

If I start a video call with another employee and want to add a third, fourth or more employees to the video call, we would like to see the ability to add another extension number and not have to send a code or link to join a video meeting. This would allow us the ability to quickly adhoc other internal parties.

I would like to be able to send a meeting reminder to a participant who has not joined the scheduled meeting from RCV.

Currently additional users can only be added to conferences by sending links, invitations or callouts. I ask for a much easier way. Just searching for an user by his name (for internals) or email address (externals) and than adding him to the conference. The added user gets the pop up for a video call and can join the conference. No need for sending emails, links etc. Would be really helpful in the daily business when fast discussions and decissions are necesary.
