Avoid getting lost during important meets that happen to deal with temporarily unstable internet - by having an adaptive incoming video OR offering a choice to attendees to disable/resume an incoming video to combat an altering internet.
Automatic method - disappearance/appearance of an incoming video:
The current set up prompts "screensharing will automatically resume once the network connectivity improves."
Likewise, we can have similar feature for the incoming video insofar as the network bandwidth supports and then throw a prompt "incoming video will automatically resume once the network connectivity improves." Thus prevent a break in business continuity and make the most out of meetings during a fluctuating situation of internet connectivity. If first method (automatic) is not feasible then go for manual Choice to disable/resume incoming video:
Re-proposing and re-purposing this manual feature to allow disable/resume of incoming video, which was recently removed on June 2024 for a different reason: https://jira.ringcentral.com/browse/RCV-110792. Choice to disable/resume incoming video on the go during the meet when facing fluctuating internet enables an attendee to make the most out of the meets.
Such a control to disable/resume incoming video exclusively for any attendee at their own will will only make them feel more inclusive during a fluctuating internet and doesn't affect the experience of other attendees or the host. Of course, status of such attendee who is using the proposed feature should be made visible to the other people as well in the meet in the interest of transparency.
