Auto Launch Meeting After RC App Installation
When a user downloads the RingCentral desktop app installation for a RingCentral video meeting for the enhanced screen sharing experience, the .exe that is downloaded contains additional configuration information including RingCentraltype=videoconf=PersonalMeetingName.exe. After the .exe installer is ran, the participant is not automatically launched into the meeting. The user must then click "Join a Meeting" in the RC desktop app, or else click the meeting link in the email again to be taken into the meeting.
If the .exe used to install the RC desktop app includes the additional "type=video_conf=PersonalMeetingName" the user should be taken directly into the meeting…

Guest Join Video Meeting Using Personal Meeting Name in RC Application
A guest user is not able to join a RingCentral Video Meeting from the RingCentral desktop app using a personal meeting name when clicking "Join A Meeting"--they receive an "Invalid Meeting ID" message. The meeting name can be used to join a RingCentral Video Meeting in a web browser, or if the user has a RingCentral account and is signed into the RingCentral Desktop App.
We largely use RingCentral Video Meetings for Remote Control of customer screens, which requires using the RingCentral desktop app on the customer system. Allowing customers to join using a personal meeting name in the RingCentral…

Meeting recordings should show the actual recording of the meeting when it was being recorded
Currently, when a video meeting is being recorded the meeting recording displays the video as cut and does not show the entire video as captured on camera. This feature needs to be added to RingCentral as it is essential to capture all the details of the meeting and all parts of the video.

Ability to post online surveys during a meeting

Ability to join 3 simultaneous RingCentral video meetings
They would like to have the ability to join 3 simultaneous RingCentral video meetings. Due to RingCentral video meeting limitations, Hosts and participants can only have two meetings running at the same time. If a participant or host tries to join a third meeting, they’ll automatically disconnect from the first meeting they joined.

Ability to share a portion of the screen
Larger monitors are becoming more popular. Zoom has a feature that allows you to share a Portion of the screen, not whole screen. This is important for individuals with large monitors. For example I have a 49" monitor instead of 3 screens and without being able to share a portion of the screen i'm limited to just sharing windows. If I share full screen, individuals with smaller screens would not be able to see anything as everything will show too small for them.

The Participants and Chat boxes block the screen
With the new video app you can only have either chat or participants open and they block the screen. Should be implemented like it was in the Zoom version where it opened a box off the side of the video screen where the participant videos are or the shared presentation for example. Sucks! Also, you can't open both the chat and participants window at the same time, I use that all the time. Please fix. The old functionality was way better.

External click-to-call links for Jupiter/RCV
I would like to propose new feature for Jupiter / RCV.
The main idea of requested functionality is based on former click-to-call service for telephony.
The link will allow external users to make a call to creator's endpoint with no need to install any App / log in.
Link creator will not need to reveal any personal contact information in order to avoid spam / misuse / limit the calls.
User can define the rules for each link or even stop the access in case of abuse. As a Jupiter/mThor user, I would like to be able to

Show Notes for non-RingCentral users in video meetings
When a non-RingCentral user joins a video meeting through their browser, the Show Notes function is greyed out. Since most of the world is not using RingCentral, that means that most of the people on the meeting cannot access the Notes feature, including Public Notes. The Notes should be available to all people in the meeting irrespective of how they join.
BTW, hovering over the greyed out Show Notes button displays a message saying "This setting is managed by your company admin." That is not correct since there is no such setting and the feature simply doesn't work.

Ability to access network log for a meeting
During a video call, RC seems to be dropping me the speaker out of calls.
There should be a way to access a log of network parameters after the meeting.
Currently there is a good way of viewing the network quality real-time during the meeting. Need a way of viewing a history of this data exported to a file to investigate with log files at the router level.1 vote -
