RingCentral’s AI transcription features should support compliant archival and retention because those transcriptions are becoming part of the official business communication record for regulated firms. If RingCentral is generating AI summaries and transcripts from calls, meetings, voicemail, or messaging, customers need the ability to archive those records in a Books and Records compliant manner, including retention policies, supervision, searchability, audit retrieval, and integration with existing compliance archive systems. Without this capability, regulated organizations may be unable to fully adopt RingCentral AI features while meeting their recordkeeping obligations.

AI call notes capture case facts, client statements, and call summaries.
If they disappear due to ringcentral's retention windows , we can’t satisfy legal holds for discovery. That exposes us to gaps in the record and potential spoliation claims because our firm relies on these notes for ongoing matters, and compliance reviews. The current workaround (manually copying notes) is slow, error-prone, and not defensible.Urgently requesting the following features to be implemented:
-Admin ability to “Move to Archive” on any note (single + bulk).
-Auto-archive rules (e.g., by team, queue, tag, or age).
-Legal Hold / immutable mode (WORM) with audit logs.
-Search + export (CSV/PDF) and API access for automated backups to our storage.
-RBAC so only designated admins can archive/restore.
