  1. Im a small business owner and looking to have one central location or hub that is shared between multiple users (extensions). For example: Phone calls, SMS, Voicemail, and missed calls can be viewed and responded by all users under one umbrella. Currently and specifically SMS & Voicemails go to one specific extension (say extension 101, but ex 102 should also have access to those SMS and Voicemails) and only that extension has access to it, which clogs the system of communication. ALL extensions should have the ability to hear voicemails and respond to SMS in the central location or hub.…

  3. I like to keep my phone on silent and dont always have it on my person. I end up missing ring phone calls because I dont notice my phone is ringing. It seems like a reasonable request

  4. If a text was sent with an error, retract the text. There can be a time limit, i.e., within 1-3 minutes of sending text.

As a refuse hauler dealing with a couple thousand customers, it would be beneficial to be able to upload a CSV file of our clients on routes to send a text message from RingCentral that all would receive at the same time. Alerts reguarding Holiday pickup schedule, route changes, and past due bill.

  7. We switched a couple of our office locations to BYOC licensing and lost the ability to SMS Text. The SMS Text option should be added to the standard BYOC product license. It is a vey handy feature and our staff love it for communicating with our customers. It allow them to give one number to customers for all communications.

  8. I use RC as my primary phone service. In many cases organizations send SMS messages from "short code" numbers. I can receive them on RC. But I can not respond. This is an important feature!

  9. When an SMS message fails to send there is a small red redo/resend arrow next to it. It however does nothing but in the "desktop phone" app this resend button works to resend the message.

  10. As a mortgage bank using ringcentral for our Loan Officers, processors and underwriters, disclaimers and opt outs must be available to all communications with borrowers and clients. Legally we must have them on all emails but in using SMS with Ringcentral we are unable to do so and it is protenatilly causing us to change our future plans with RingCentral...whcih we do not want to do!

  11. In the current state Call Delegates are not able to access/respond to SMS messages. The solution from technical support was that the user should share their RC login with their delegate. This is an obviously unacceptable solution and also not possible in our case where SSO is implemented. It is incoherent to encourage sign-on security and immediately undercut that so that a delegate can support another user account.

  12. Service Providers that use software to send texts and mms. Other softwares have selectable providers like Verizon, Sprint, Tmobile,ATT etc. for example, Verizon is vtext.com. example 4075551212@vtext.com. Something like sending a fax to 4075551212@rcfax.com, to have a rctext.com or rcmms.com would be great. (But how could you charge for it to the sender lol. Probably why its not a feature to consider!

  13. RingCentral Phone can automatically reduce file size of a picture and send SMS/MMS.RingCentral Desktop app does not have this funtion. Please add this feature, it is very convenient. We are forced to switch to RingCentral Desktop application due to RC Phone Window App unreliability.

I think it would be helpful to have the SMS on the desktop app act like the mobile app where the texts from yourself are on the right side and texts from the other person on the left. also having different colors to differentiate your texts or the other person's texts. This makes it easier to read and find messages from yourself or the other person.

  15. Hello! I text/sms people on a daily basis for my job. Sorting through the long list or searching in the search tab can be quite tedious.The feature is already in the "Message" tab. In the Message tab you're able to create a new folder (see Ring1 image or click me), name it whatever you want, move it up and down the list as you please, color code it to your liking and add things in it.   18. Currently, if you attempt to send a text message to someone in your contact list, the app defaults to the contact's Home number (if there is one). Why would it ever default to anything other than the Mobile number? Can you send SMS to a land line? a fax line?

  19. when customer's main number is set to forward calls to call queue, missed calls should still trigger an auto reply sms from the main number. currently, this only works if auto receptionist is set to forward calls to user extensions
