  1. I use a lot of different zaps with Glip. Manually adding users to each team is time consuming. I'd like to be able to assign users to groups and then assign those groups to each Team. That way I can add a new user to a group and have them automatically added to each team chats that that group is a member of.

  4. When inputting a contact through app.ringcentral.com there is no option to add the person's extension without getting an error message. The only way to do this is to open the app on the phone where it will accept the extension by adding * and the number...but not on the web version.

  5. We have multiple sites. We can change all of our site names except for our headquarters (which the account is tied to). Like to be able to change 'Main Site' name to our City location.

  8. Our subsidiaries do not want to see the parent company name at the top of their app. We have multiple DBAs and each is represented by a Site. I would like each user to see the name of their site rather than the parent company name.

  9. We have been long-term customers of RingCentral, and it seems we recall that we were able to customize the "Call Screening Prompt" years ago, but the feature is no longer available. We have been able to customize almost all aspects of our callers' experience except this one. We'd like to suggest that RC make it possible to upload your own custom prompt, rather than having the system-generated voice. It would make for a seamless experience!

The problem I ran into is assigning a new user to an unassigned extension: Old SMS history was available to the new user.Problem: C-Level or other VIP users may have communicated sensitive data that would otherwise be restricted to the new employeeMy goal is to have a mechanism by which to purge SMS history from an extension.The current settings require you to gain access to the existing account and sign-in as the end-user to delete message history. Disabling and re-enabling the Messaging does not purge the previous data unless it is manually deleted

  12. Add the ability to configure specific numbers that would override the Do Not Disturb setting. Use case is for someone who is on call after hours for emergencies, who may want to set RingCentral to Do Not Disturb for general calls and messages but still needs to receive calls that are coming from the emergency dispatch number. Similar to what iPhone currently has where you can set the ability for a number to still come through as a call when your phone is in Do Not Disturb mode.

  13. When my RC app is minimized in my mobile phone screen or the mobile phone is on standby, the RC"app status" is grey (invisible). This "app status" in displayed to other agents when they try to transfer a call to me. This is confusing for them. Only when I open my app does my true"User status"(available, in a meeting, do not disturb) displays to other agents.

  15. If "Take message" is not enable, when they have the option o transferring the caller to a group or to disconnect the call. Obviously discounting the call is bad customer service, however transferring to a group is not always the best option. WE would like another option added which will allow the called to be transferred to the staff member that first transferred the call

  16. There should not be a limit of 60 text message lines on the desktop when the phone app is not limited. They should match for seamless transition at any time. This is a very annoying but simple problem to fix.

  18. Hi, It would be helpful if we have the ability to enable SMS feature for New Zealand numbers. It will be a big help if users can communicate thru SMS with their clients in New Zealand using their New Zealand number as SMS ID.

  19. It would be nice to have an option within the service portal for administrators to export, or at least generate a report, configuration data. As it stands today only the Users have an export option and it doesn't export everything. Data export for Users, Limited Extensions, and Phones would be very helpful when looking to see if everything is configured the way we want it and for inventory purposes.

Apparently, on September 1, 2020, RingCentral removed the ability to apply custom rules for users in queues.https://support.ringcentral.com/s/article/11205-Call-Queue-Overflow-Call-Handling-Behavior?language=en_USScenario:User is assigned to an intake call queue. User needs 30 minute scheduled downtime at the same time every day to not take calls. We create a custom rule to send any calls to that user from 10am - 10:30am to the Queue for the next available agent to pick up. Issue:Because of the new update, the user can no longer receive calls from the queue at any time using the Desktop App.Resolution: We have troubleshot this with Support for upwards of 7…
