Share host Audio in RC Video in Desktop App
RingCentral Meetings and Zoom support sharing Host audio to a presentation. From our testing yesterday this is possible IF the RC Video session is started from the web app, but not if started from the all-in-one desktop app. Why:It is often useful for a host to share not just an image, but sound as well, in a meeting or presentation.
Implemented for Windows.
Mac is planned for 2H 2024

RingCentral Video needs to have the ability to share computer sound from the presenter - just like we could on RingCentra Meetings. Not having this makes sharing videos, phone call recordings, etc. an issue and severely limits our ability to work within the RC Video system.

We use Ring Central for training remotely and in the Ring Central Meetings, there was an option to share computer audio when playing videos, which we used all the time. With now having to use Ring Central Video, that option is no longer available and it would be extremely helpful to have it back so we can continue to train effectively.

In RingCentral Meetings you could share a video and share computer sound. In RingCentral Video Meetings you have to keep your mic unmuted to share the sound from the video you are sharing

When I am in the RC app, and I share a video through share my screen, the audio does not go through, instead I have to log in to https://v.ringcentral.com in order to be able to share audio as well.

Is very important to share thecomputer audio while sharing the screen during a meeting that way you cna share a video or thing like that with your partners and they are able to see it other wise is very complicated.

I'm unsure why this feature was removed, but multiple users of mine are complaining that the people they have meetings with can no longer hear audio through the desktop app. While the work-around is to use the web browser app, it doesn't make sense to push a unified app and then remove not just this feature, but multiple features.

Allows group to view a video together. For example, someone shares a screen and plays a youtube video.
