Bring back the pause screen share feature
The ability to pause your screen share is extremely helpful. For instance, while your client is asking a question, you pause the share to locate the information in order to answer their question. This was something you were always able to do using RingCentral Meetings, but has been discontinued under RingCentral Video. This feature also sets you apart from most other web conference platforms.

Add Remote Control feature to RC Desktop App - Video
It appears this was a feature in the Meetings App, but is not available in the current version of the Desktop App and our account does not allow us to run Meetings.This is helpful when staff are in a video meeting and they want to hand off control to another presenter or tech support person.
194 votesThanks for this suggestion. Remote control during screen sharing is available today, but only when both the person sharing and the person requesting control are on the RingCentral desktop app. This is because the desktop app has deeper access to your device that a browser simply isn't allowed to have for security reasons — browsers intentionally limit what a website can do with your screen, keyboard, and mouse to protect users.
Bringing remote control to the browser would require the desktop app to be updated to work with those browser limitations, which is a significant undertaking relative to how this feature is used today. After evaluating it, we've decided this isn't something we'll be building, and we're closing this request.
If remote control is something you rely on, we'd recommend joining meetings from the RingCentral desktop app rather than the browser.See Requesting and approving remote desktop control.

Invite company team member to an active video call or screen share
From the invite participants button, there should be an option to send a direct message to a company team member, and/or the ability to call their extension. Currently, the option to call by phone does access my contact list or allow me to enter a fellow team members extension. If I use the desktop app to call them, or they call me, there has to be an easy way to merge or move that call to an existing meeting.Case example. Please add a hand raise feature in RingCentral video
This is beneficial for group meetings to permit participants to raise their hands and contribute to meetings.

Automatic Recording on RCV
There is currently no option to automatically record a meeting for Ringcentral Video unlike its latter, Ringcentral Meetings.

Add FireFox support for RC Video
Currently, if you do not have the RC App installed on your machine, and try to open up a RC Video meeting link in firefox, it tells you to use either Chrome or Edge to start the meeting.Many people use Firefox, can we have the new RC Video App meeting links work with firefox?

Add RCV Outlook plugin that works from Outlook Mail tab
Our company has been using RingCentral Meetings for quite some time now, and this was a smooth rollout using the Ring Central Meetings for Outlook plugin. People in our company when in Outlook are on the mail page 90% of the time and having the option to schedule or start an instant meeting right on that page made it quick and easy. This I believe is the main reason RingCentral meetings was adopted so quickly and we were not pressured by the Execs to visit Microsoft Teams, Zoom or other platforms. RingCentral Video - Reactions
Our staff love to use the "reactions" type emojis within a video meeting. This will allow participates to interact within the meeting and not have to talk. This would be a huge benefit to the Video platform. :)

Play announcement to say that video meeting is being recorded
The request is to be able to play an announcement to say that the meeting is being recorded, both before someone enters the meeting and/or when the recording starts. This would be especially helpful for those who join by dialing in, as they are not able to view where it says that it is being recorded.

Larger font for "Join from Browser"
When clicking on the link to join a meeting, the "join from browser" option is at the very bottom of the webpage and seems to be overshadowed by the "launch meeting" option. Some people miss it or do not see it when connecting to the meeting and would prefer to join from the browser instead of downloading the app. Would it be possible to have that option moved higher, right below the launch meeting button or maybe make the font for it bigger so it is more noticeable?

Allow Transcription of Meeting
Would like to request RC Meeting ability to transcribe a meeting into text. Since voicemails can transcribe into text, it seems as though RC has the technology to do so. This would be very handy for recorded meetings where we want to keep detailed notes and be able to scan to the relevant information.

Video Screen Share and Recordings are VERY blurry on high resolution screens
Hello, the Screen sharing that we use when we host meetings are extremely blurry on high resolution screens. The meeting recordings are also equally blurry. I have called support many times, and was told that I need to LOWER my screen resolution to fix the issue. I can lower the screen resolution but I cannot work like that. The screen is too zoomed in for me to work and share my screen. This needs to be fixed for our team. Zoom is a FREE option, and I have no problem on the video recordings using the same screen. Improve annotations so they don't automatically disappear

Ability to add another user in ongoing RingCentral Video call
Sometimes we want to add another user in the ongoing call. A feature to enter the user name (RC id) and directly add that person can be very helpful.

Option to turn off Active Speaker Expansion in Gallery View of RC Video Meeting
In gallery view the active user's window slightly expands and zooms in and out as people converse. This is visually distracting, especially during conversations with multiple people. I suggest having the option for users to turn this feature off. Simply highlighting the active speaker with a color border is preferred.

RC Video support for Safari
Many Mac users only use or have Safari as their browser. If you support Microsoft Edge, you should definitely support Safari. Both are native browsers to operating systems.

RingCentral Meeting/Video Outlook plugin Sunset
Due to Meetings App being sunsetted, the Outlook plugin no longer works. Unfortunately, users are now unable to create meetings within a calendar event that has already been created. Very frustrating when something so simple yet super helpful to have is taken away. Please bring back this feature.
