  1. With the passing of Ray Baum's Act (effective 1/6/2022), our current or prospective Direct Routing customers for Microsoft Teams will begin to examine whether RingCentral MVP can "process" PIDF-LO information originating from the MS Teams environment. Currently we do not. Customer preference will be to maintain emergency address/location information from within their MS Teams Admin Center environment, as opposed to being forced to manually change/update address/location information within ServiceWeb. Users in this type of environment will simply refuse to do the manual updating within ServiceWeb. I personally am already hearing of customers where this will become an issue and may…

  3. Guest accounts (B2B Collabaration Users) in Microsoft Entra ID (previously Azure AD) should not sync along with regular contacts (Members) when using the MS Teams embedded dialer app. At a minimum, there should be an option to include or exclude Members/Guests when syncing Contacts. Many organizations use B2B Collaboration to provide single sign-on to their customers which causes large numbers of user records and it is not normal behavior for apps to sync these records by default when syncing contact records. These record types are not part of the Global Address List.https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/external-id/user-properties

  5. The request is for an app that can be deployed via the Microsoft Teams app gallery to add RingCentral controls to the side of the Teams client.
This app should do the following:
    - Allow for SSO-Stay logged in-Give controls such as: Accept all calls -
Deny all calls - Do not accept queue calls
    - Remote member management features like logging out of specific queues (this is available in native teams call routing functionality)
    - Be available on mobile
These functions are not available in the Service Web page for an end user and popping out to the mobile…

  6. In the Cloud PBX for Teams portal, the new Sync Module only works for a single PBX customer meaning that a customer that has offices internationally cannot use it. This could prove to be an issue for Enterprise customers, who may feel that the current integration causes too much manual work.

  7. Use case: The customer is widely using MS Teams as their core collaboration solution. They would like to keep all communication within the Teams app to reduce complexity. Challenges: The customers would like to leverage RingCentral's & Textel SMS solutions for team tackling of SMS, which leverage RingCentral's Teams in Messaging. To use this, they must also use the RingCentral Desktop App. This creates a challenging solution strategy as some users have the Embedded Dialer and others are using the RingCentral App. Things do not work well when both the Embedded Dialer and the RC App are deployed on the…

  8. As of 6/14/22, my entire company has abandoned the MS Teams and RingCentral integration for the Ring Central Desktop App because (1) we cannot search for keywords in SMS messages in the integration and (2) the phone directory only displays active RC members and excludes personal contact phone numbers or any contacts other than Ring Central members. Its frustrating for my users to have to go back and forth between the RC Desktop App and the MS Teams integration to do searches, when the point of an integration is to have everything centralized in one place. I called support and…

  13. I'm using the Beta Teams 2.0 integration. For the most part I think it's great, however whenever you click into the RingCentral area it always loads one the Phone tab which shows calls history and the dialler. For us that's not much use and everyone here would much prefer the HUD tab to be the default. If in the Settings area you could select your preferred default tab, that would be much better.

  14. include a phone number on my MS Teams meetings to allow users who do not have robust audio capabilities on their computers, to call in to a presentation such that all participants can hear the caller(s) when they speak and the caller can hear people talking via MS Teams. I see articles about internal use of RingCentral with Teams, but nothing regarding what I am describing. Zoon offers a phone number on their meetings so users can call in

  15. We have a group within Ring Central, when internal calls from Microsoft Teams other people and services come through they are showing the extension number, rather than showing the Microsoft Teams information of users or service. We do not use extension numbers, as we use Microsoft Teams as our interface for calling which provides all the information in Active Directory, (name, site, full number). When this is displayed it does not mean anything to the person answering the call, so when answering the phone we have no idea who is calling to start with which is hindering our customer services through…

  18. Use Case: Employees use MS Teams as their primary collaboration and video conference tool. RingCentral is the phone, SMS, and fax service provider. Employees rely on RingCentral's MS Teams Embedded Dialer.Problem: Employees don't have a way to quickly determine how many unread messages they have by looking that the RingCentral icon in Team. If they a user walked away from their desks for a few minutes, they may have missed a critical SMS, voicemail, or fax that needs to be responded to urgently.Feature request: Add an unread message counter to the main icon of our MS Teams Embedded Dialer. This…

  19. Every time I click on the RingCentral integration in Teams it defaults to the Phone tab.In Settings, I can see you can change the tab order. I did this and put HUD first, however, it still defaults to loading the Phone tab whenever I click into RingCentral. It would be nice to be able to set the default tab (unless of course there is good reason for Phone loading) as I'm more interested in seeing the presence than the dialer and call history.
