Add RingCentral's Messaging to the Embedded Dialer experience in MS Teams
Use case: The customer is widely using MS Teams as their core collaboration solution. They would like to keep all communication within the Teams app to reduce complexity. Challenges: The customers would like to leverage RingCentral's & Textel SMS solutions for team tackling of SMS, which leverage RingCentral's Teams in Messaging. To use this, they must also use the RingCentral Desktop App. This creates a challenging solution strategy as some users have the Embedded Dialer and others are using the RingCentral App. Things do not work well when both the Embedded Dialer and the RC App are deployed on the same machine. Additionally, the customer would like to give their I.T. team access to Messaging to communicate more easily with RingCentral for the implementation and future support requests.Current Limitations:The Embedded Dialer does not support RingCentral "Messaging" today.Feature request: Add "Messaging" as a tab in the Embedded Dialer to security roles that have specific Permission to use it.Value to customer: By adding "Messaging" to the Embedded Dialer, the customer will be able to have 100% of their end users leverage MS Teams as the shell for all their communication, wherein RingCentral is strategically providing Phone and augmentative Messaging services where needed.
