  1. Whenever the Teams RC desktop plugin fails (far too regularly) our non-technical user base is thrown into panic.
    Clicking 'open plugin' invokes the executable and 'should be' all it takes to resume service. See screenshot 1.
    Instead, the ridiculous webpage is invoked (screenshot 2). Users either click 'launch now' (does NOTHING) or they click download.
    Screenshot 3 shows a users download folder with 102 instances of the downloaded plugin. Approx 25GB.
    We have a thousand non-technical users in this position.

    Please remove the webpage that is invoked when a user clicks 'open plugin' as it is completely unnecessary.

  2. When administrators deploy or reinstall the RingCentral for MS Teams Embedded App, the system automatically sends a "Welcome / Activation Email" to users. During large-scale deployments or when retrying failed installations, this causes users who already have the app installed to receive upwards of 20 redundant emails.

    We request a global toggle or checkbox in the RingCentral Admin Portal to disable/suppress Welcome Email notifications during deployments. This will allow IT teams to silently troubleshoot and rerun installations for failed users without spamming the rest of the organization or causing internal helpdesk influxes.

If Teams is enabled for a RingCentral users and you want to port the RingCentral users original phone number, the RC temporary phone number assigned to the user cannot be found when you search for it under the "Assigned To" field in port form in the RC portal.   4. Sync status of MS Teams meeting with RC App during meeting. As of now while on MS Teams meeting , RC app remains on the current status (available) so users are receiving calls on RC app while on a meeting in MS Teams.

  5. Hi Team,

    Currently, when Microsoft 365 contacts are synced to the RingCentral Mobile App, any updates or revoked contact information from Microsoft 365 are not automatically reflected within the app.

    At the moment, customers are required to manually clear the cache/data on the RingCentral Mobile App in order for the updated contact information to sync correctly.

    Would it be possible to consider adding a feature enhancement where Microsoft 365 contact changes automatically synchronize with the RingCentral Mobile App without requiring users to clear the app cache manually?

    In the Microsoft Teams Direct Routing integration, calls placed between internal RingCentral users are not recognized by Microsoft Teams as native Teams-to-Teams calls.

    When an internal RingCentral user places a call to another internal RingCentral user who receives the call through Microsoft Teams, the call is routed as follows:

    RingCentral User → RingCentral Platform → Direct Routing SBC/Trunk → Microsoft Phone System → Microsoft Teams Client

Teams embedded RC app to have Dial pad feature to Prompt in RC app that "The Keypad is now open in a new window." to match RC App. The Dialer window in RC embedded app does not disappear or get disabled when the pop up dialer window is launching allowing users to click as many times as they want spawning multiple calls to the same person or if calling into CXOne the user well get multiple agents answering the call.

  14. We were using RingCentral for HubSpot chrome extension to call our customer before. And now as this sees sunset, we have added the RingCentral as a full integration into HubSpot and started using Call function.

    What's happening now is, when we start a call type task from the task queue in HubSpot, it automatically calls the customer. Which we do not want. We want the control over when to call the customer.

    We have contacted HubSpot and at the moment they don't have a setting to turning off this feature. Please have a feature in RingCentral to turn this off.

  16. Requesting an enhancement to allow users to independently control their Call Queue availability without it being tied to their presence status in Teams or RingCentral.

    Use case:
    Customers with users in Call Queues need the ability for agents to manually go on/off queue while still maintaining accurate presence sync across platforms.

    Current limitation:
    Presence sync drives queue availability, so customers currently disable presence sync as a workaround, which breaks expected integration behavior.

    Impact:

    Limits flexibility for queue management
    Forces disabling presence sync for some users
    Reduces effectiveness of unified presence

  17. Custmer request:
    If two versions of the application are present in the system, doesn’t the RC plugin choose to run the latest version?

    Is there any way to control which version is run when two version of the application are present?

    Your development team need to make sure the plugin app checks if another version of the RC application installed, and uninstall it or upgrade.

  19. Starting last Friday, my users are getting ANNOYING “cards” EVERY day!

    Using the Teams plugin. These unsolicited “cards” need to stop. Whoever thought this was a good idea to force this onto customers should be fired.

    This triggers the notification indicator on the app and the taskbar. People are non-stop complaining ever since this was forced onto us.

In the RingCentral desktop, we have the option to share voicemails which apparently is non-feature while using the Teams app. The only option we have is to "Download" but I feel that the extra steps to export and import a file as opposed to sharing the voicemail to someone within the company can be felt on our productivity.
