Archiver - SMS Content
Our archive provider is Smarsh. Why do some RingCentral direct messages show in the archive with the email addresses of the sender/recipient, while other messages show only the 10-digit phone number? Finding content by searching the email address is preferable for us. The phone numbers tend to be reused as staff come and go from the company, so they are dynamic, but email addresses are never reused. Is there a way to have all messages sent to the Archive labeled with the email address?

I am definitely up voting this with this option preferred for me:
I would like to see if we can upload into Smarsh the phone numbers labeled with the names rather than with the email address of the user !
And I say that because the two reasons:
We are already archiving the actual email addresses and labeling the RingCentral numbers as the email address could create confusion as to what it is that we’re looking at: an archived email or an archived text message labeled as an email address. And the second reason is even though users come and go, if the number is registered for TCR and it’s reassigned to a new user that particular profile will also receive the name (an email address) of the new user. So when the data is uploaded to Smarsh, it will be sent with the new name of the new user.
