Call Forwarding to extensions
With the release of the upgraded RingCentral app - we lost the function to Call Forward to an extension (app to app). The only Call Forward function is to a physical phone or device (ie: cell phone). This limits our office functionality and it doesn't make sense why this was not included with the "upgrade". Please consider fixing this issue.

Disable RingCentral App Auto-Update on macOS
On macOS, the Ring Central application installs a helper tool that requires privilege elevation to complete the install. Enterprises like ours do not provide administrative privileges to end users, so they can not elevate privileges. The end result is the user sees a popup requesting authentication for an admin this is difficult to clear. The popup reopens when you click "Cancel" until you close the application and reopen it.

Create an option to remove the apps tab in the RingCentral application
Currently the apps tab is tied to the messaging feature. The only way to remove the apps option is to remove messaging from an account. It would be helpful if these were separate so that I can control whether users are allowed to add apps to their application while still maintaining the messaging feature.

The message and apps options are no longer tied together, so you can request that apps be removed from your account without removing messaging as well. Thank you!

Revert Option+arrow keyboard shortcut in RC App. It breaks Mac's native behavior
In Mac OSX, natively, a user can use Option + Left arrow or Option + Right arrow to move the cursor back one word or forward one word. Maintain list of recent status messages
In addition (or maybe instead of?) the standard pre-built status messages, it would be helpful to have some of your previous status messages as well. For instance, we're often indicating where we are...at the office, working from home, etc. It would be really convenient if you could just toggle back to a previous status, without having to type it all over again. Having your own custom list of status messages is arguably more useful than the generic messages.

Happy to say this is implemented! Custom status will now remember your most recently used statuses. -
Add setting to allow RC desktop app to run in the background at startup
To receive messaging, the app needs to run, but it does not need to run in the foreground upon computer login. Please add a setting option to be able to start the program in the tray area. MS Teams has this option and it is very useful.

Call queue member, to have the ability to receive call even when on an active phone call
In a queue, it detects that member as busy when engaged on a call. This doesn't enable them to receive call, unlike in call forwarding that has the ability to receive calls in all platform

Domain Control
Please add a "domain control" option. It would be really nice to block people from creating "personal" RingCentral accounts using a corporately controlled domain email address.

macOS Universal Application - Apple Silicon M1
Zoom added their Universal Binary which supports their M1 chips without going through their Rosetta 2 emulation. I believe this would help RingCentral as I occasionally experience application freezes on the M1 when trying to enable my camera / audio too quickly after loading into a meeting or trying to share my screen. I believe natively supporting the M1 would resolve those issues.

add fax confirmation on actual ring central fax cover letter instead of email,
So our company has to download the email confirmation from that email, then attach it to the actual fax from ring central and it's just plain extra work. The fax and rest of the pages in the actual fax are on top of every page sent except a sent action or success notation. Enable replying to the tasks
I am sorry to say but you have made my work life miserable by making your incomplete app mandatory to me. You should not have launched a new app without solving the errors in it. First I was not able to sort my teams in folders, which is now solved, and thank you for that, secondly, there is a character limit on the tasks, please remove the limit, I can't reply to the tasks. Tasks should be visible all the time, minimal clicks and scrolls should be required to reach anywhere. Keep it simple like before. Don't complicate things. PLEASE!Just…

Add preview of the beginning of recent SMS messages like the old app used to have
On the old desktop/browser app, you could see a snippet of the beginning message of the most recent sms messages & you could scroll down to see older messages. When we had to switch to the new desktop/browser app, that feature went away & now we can only scroll through the phone numbers of the recent recipients & have to click on each specific # to see the message. Save custom status
I understand that we can set a custom status and I understand that there are 6 "canned" statuses. I would like the ability to either edit those 6 canned "slots" or add my own custom statuses that I might use frequently. I would find this super useful during work from home times.Examples: "Picking up the kiddo from school", "Away for lunch", etc.
