An error occurred while saving the comment Tiffany commentedThere is actually no Co-Host in Video - that was a Meetings feature. Video only has a Moderator role. Either way, if the original Video meeting host needs to pass off control to another participant (either in a Moderator of Co-Host role), the participant who is assuming the new role needs to be able to manage Breakout Rooms AS WELL AS any other feature that the original Host can manage.

An error occurred while saving the comment Tiffany commentedThe status of this feature request has been changed to implemented, however I do not see that it is available in RingCentral Video yet. I do not see a way for a participant to allow remote control, nor do I see a way for the host to request remote control. Is there an updated version I need to download or something? Can you explain how this feature has been implemented? Perhaps I am not looking in the correct spot for the controls????

An error occurred while saving the comment Tiffany commentedI don't understand why I am being directed to enter this as a "community idea" - it is an existing feature of RingCentral Meetings standalone app and should be a part of the RingCentral unified app if RC is insisting on retiring the standalone app. We need to be able to remotely control a participant's computer/screen when on a RingCentral Meeting. Not having this feature is a no-go for the unified app. I manage software installation for our agency and due to the complexity of registry edit commands and the security of account passwords, it is not something I can do by instructing the user to type certain things in themselves with me watching. Not being able to control another user's screen will force us to another platform. It is clear you will eventually migrate away from Meetings and use Video, and this feature must be available in Video as well...if we are still customers to see it.
When an individual is remotely controlling another participant's desktop, it can be useful to copy something from their personal desktop and paste it onto the desktop they are controlling. It is especially helpful when trying to navigate to complex URL sites on the other user's desktop, copy code, etc. This functionality existed under RC Meetings but is not available in RC Video. The workaround is to have to email the information to the remote desktop - not fun
