Auto-Attach Recorded RingCentral Meetings to Salesforce Ticket Reference
Feature Request: Auto-Attach Recorded RingCentral Meetings to Salesforce Ticket Reference
Request Summary:
We would like to request a feature enhancement where the RingCentral app automatically attaches recorded meetings to the related Salesforce ticket reference when a user schedules, hosts, or records a meeting associated with a Salesforce case.
Problem Statement:
Currently, agents and users who conduct multiple meetings per day must manually download and upload the meeting recording to the relevant Salesforce ticket. This process is time-consuming and introduces the risk of human error, including attaching the wrong file or forgetting to upload the recording altogether.
Proposed Solution:
Introduce an integration feature in the RingCentral for Salesforce app that allows:
When scheduling or initiating a RingCentral Meeting from within Salesforce or with a Salesforce-related context (e.g., linked case, contact, or opportunity), the meeting is automatically tagged to that Salesforce object.
Once the meeting is recorded and processed, the recording is automatically attached to the corresponding Salesforce ticket (or object), reducing manual steps and improving productivity.
If possible, also auto-generate a note or task in the Salesforce record with a summary and direct link to the recording.
Benefits:
Saves agents considerable time by removing manual upload steps.
Prevents lost or misfiled recordings.
Improves case documentation and visibility across teams.
Enhances the efficiency of follow-up actions for customer interactions.
Use Case Example:
An agent hosts 4–5 meetings daily related to different support cases. With the proposed enhancement, each recording will automatically be linked to the appropriate Salesforce case without requiring the agent to download, rename, and re-upload the file manually.
