Transferring calls to RingEX Extensions via corporate directory

To enable the ability to transfer calls via the corporate directory using RingEX extension numbers instead of typing the user's name and selecting it from the list.

Currently, the system does not recognize extension numbers when attempting to transfer a call. It only displays results when typing the name of the user or agent.

    It could be both but we would be transferring to the EX phone of the user.

    Yulia, can you please make it so that transferring directly to a RingEX voicemail from RingCX is possible?

    Hi everyone, thank you for voting on this idea — we're actively looking at it.

    Before we move forward, we want to make sure we're solving the right problem. A quick clarification question:

    When you say you'd like to transfer by extension number, are you trying to transfer to:

    a) Another RingCX agent (a colleague who also handles contact center calls), or
    b) A RingEX user (a back-office employee, manager, or someone outside the contact center)

    The reason we ask: transferring to RingEX users by extension already works in the current transfer dialog — you can type the extension number and the person appears. But transferring to other RingCX agents by extension may be a different story.

    Knowing which scenario you're running into will help us prioritize the right fix. Even a quick one-line reply helps — thank you!

    At our credit union, we are pretty split with some employees working on the REX system and others working on the RCX system. For 10+ years, employees were used to simply dialing a 4-digit ext to get to a specific department, branch, or person. While we understand that we can simply search for a department/branch/individuals name to make or transfer a call, there is a lot of "muscle" memory there for the 4-digit extensions. It would be extremely beneficial for out company if from either the RCX OR REX side, that 4-digit ext could be used in the same manner as with out previous systems.
