This was very handy in our previous Cisco/Jabber based system.

    It's also currently in Teams.

For Teams, pick a user in the chat window, right-click them and select "notify when available". A pop-up notice appears when their status became available.

In Teams, the setting is persistent which is handy. For users you interact with regularly, once selected, you see their status pop on and off.

Because of this behavior in Teams, you have to right-click again and choose "Turn off notifications" to stop seeing notices for a given user.

Either one-time notice like Jabber, or persistent like Teams, it seems like an obvious gap for RC based on other systems -- it would be a welcome augmentation!

Adding in partner directory with multiple partners using the same corporate phone number -- not being able to have more than one contact with the same main number for multiple locations is super frustrating.
