  1. While we understand Admins have the ability to manually input contacts across the company by uploading a list to the "External Shared Contacts Directory", this solution is not scalable. When a user in our office creates a new contact in RingCentral, the contact should be added to all users in our company... not just one.

    The solution of the manual import is not feasible long term.

  4. Customers using Poly CCX series desk phones in Microsoft Teams Direct Routing mode have requested the ability for Microsoft Teams contacts to automatically sync and display on the phone without requiring manual search.

    Currently, corporate contacts are only accessible after initiating a search (minimum characters required), which differs from the expected user experience and from how contacts appeared on previous desk phones and in the Microsoft Teams desktop application.   9. It would be extremely helpful to have the ability to automatically sync user profile photos from Microsoft Active Directory (or Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD) into RingCentral user profiles.

    Currently, profile photos must be uploaded manually in RingCentral, which creates extra administrative work and leads to inconsistencies across platforms. Since many organizations already maintain up-to-date profile photos in Active Directory or Microsoft 365, syncing this data would ensure consistency and save time for IT administrators.

  11. The RingCentral Company Directory (in both the Admin Portal and Desktop App) sorts contacts based on the First Name field. Even if contacts are uploaded with separate First and Last Name columns, the system combines them into a single display format: [First Name] [Last Name], which is then used for alphabetical sorting.

    Customer Request
    The customer would like contacts to be sorted by Last Name or to have an option to choose the preferred sorting method (First Name or Last Name).

  13. when exporting a contacts on a user extension, the template of the exported CSV file should be the same with the template for external shared directory, because it is time consuming if you need to manually type the contacts instead of using the exported CSV file directly.

  15. Customer is requesting the ability to override inbound CNAM (Caller Name) and default Caller ID behavior for calls routed through a Call Queue.

    Currently, Call Queues display the inbound CNAM or raw caller number, even when the number exists in the External Shared Contacts directory.

  17. The customer is uploading external contacts to the directory via a CSV file by setting the source column as "RingCentral (Default)" and wants to add these contacts to their favorites, which is currently not possible.

    Request: Enable users to mark contacts as Favorites when the contact source is set to "RingCentral (Default)" via CSV import.   19. The customer would like to customize the caller ID display on Yealink desk phones for calls routed through a Call Queue. Specifically, when a customer dials the company hotline and the call is answered by a user in the queue, they want the phone display to show additional internal information associated with the customer’s extension or account.

    Current Behavior:

    The Call Queue number that was dialed (e.g., Hotline Number), and

    The caller's phone number.

  20. On the Contact list under "All Contacts" RC has the user's name and below the users email address. Why? If you want the email address you can just go into the Contacts Profile. If you add the contact as a favorite the email address is replaced with the users Availability status, which is MUCH for useful in an PHONE telephone application/list. We do not email through RingCentral so I do not see why it would show a contacts email address instead of the users Presence Status.
