Business SMS Booster (Shared SMS Inbox) Functionality on MMS.
Our organization actively uses the Business SMS Booster feature, and it works well within the RingCentral Desktop App, where the Shared SMS Inbox is fully accessible.
However, the Shared SMS tab does not work with MMS in the future as we completely launch the Business SMS Booster (Shared SMS Inbox).35 votesVery excited to share that SMS Shared Inbox does support MMS! Please ensure you are on the latest version of the app.
You'll now be able to send and receive Images, Videos, GIFs in line with the content guidelines and support filetypes for MMS.

Please Remove the New "Send New Text" Pop-Up Window and Revert to the Old Format
I'd love to see the new "Send New Text" pop-up window reverted back to the old format where you could see any prior text history when sending a new text. The new popup window has a constricting feel, especially when texting someone there's prior history with that you can't see in the same way as you used to when clicking the "Send New Text" button

New RingCentral - no date stamp for text messages from the day of
Date and time stamp should be included in all text messages being sent within the RingCentral desktop app. At times, this is used in conjunction with our Accounting team to receive confirmation from users to approve certain matters. Having the text message only read 'today' does not help to validate when the communication actually took place (date and time). The only time date and time is included together is when it's a past date.

Shared SMS were multiple users can receive and send SMS on specific number
Allow text messages sent to the same company number that the call queue is answering to be answered by any user in that call queue. Allow them to send messages from the company number and have a unified spot so that multiple users can respond. As our CSRs go off and on shift they should be able to pick up a text thread with a customer.

Bulk delete for sms messages
we have to click each sms message to delete it. This is cumbersome and frankly an elementary need. I cant believe this isn't already an option.

Search bar for text messages
I would love to see a search bar for texts so I can search for the last time I texted someone. I do a lot of group texts, so I cannot just pull up the individual contact to see the history. I would love to be able to search for all the group texts including a specific individual.

Mark as unread from the desktop app
We have multiple users opening messaged on the same app. We use main business phone number to receive all the text messages. When one of the users reads the message and realizes it was not for him we have to send a group text message to let others know that they opened the message. I can only unread it on my phone app not no one in the team can unread it on the desktop app.

Auto reply that number is disabled for SMS
Currently, there is no auto-reply to the sender if the RingCentral number they are sending a text to is disabled for SMS.I am requesting to have a system-generated reply to a sender if the RC number they are sending a text to is disabled for SMS.
