Rooms Usage Statistics
A high level report within the RingCentral Admin Analytics portal which provides Meeting Rooms usage over time.

RingCentral Room Default Participant View
Whenever participants use the screenshare tool within the RingCentral Room Video meeting, the default video view is speaker and the we'd prefer to have the view go back to the gallery view since the meeting is leveraging a RC Room, which(to us) represents a larger meeting and in-person participants want to see all video participants on one screen/TV.
Essentially, we'd like to have the option to set the "default" participant view when using the RC Rooms product, as most of our RC Room meetings are typically hybrid and larger quantities of participants.1 voteAn IT admin can set a default participant layout for a room, applied on the latest RingCentral Rooms client. Feature Request – Toolbar Controls During Presentation Mode
Description:
We would like to request a new functionality for the video conferencing service. Currently, when a user is presenting, the toolbar does not display the chat or audio controls. This limitation creates an issue in scenarios where the presenter needs to quickly mute/unmute themselves or share information through the chat without interrupting the presentation flow.At present, the presenter is forced to stop screen sharing in order to access the meeting controls (chat, audio, etc.), and then restart the presentation. This process disrupts the flow of the meeting and negatively impacts the overall user experience.

Accurate video meeting summary
I’ve been using both the Call Summary and Video Meeting Summary features, and I’ve found that the Call Summary delivers better results compared to the Video Meeting Summary. It would be beneficial if the Video Meeting Summary could be further enhanced or if there were settings available to fine-tune how the summaries are generated to improve accuracy and relevance.

default virtual background options
By default, would like to be offered a few nice aesthetic office space virtual backgrounds. We currently only are offered one that looks like you're literally sitting on the conference room table, so it doesn't look realistic. I found nice ones online, but you have to pay to use them; it'd be nice if Ring offered them by default.

Video Transcript Increase Time Limit
Would like to request if possible to increase the time limit exceeding 2 hours where post-meeting
can provide transcript and materials to be access and downloaded.16 votesOur system currently supports the generation of post-meeting transcripts and materials for meetings up to 8 hours. We have rigorously tested this 8-hour limit to ensure the highest level of stability and performance for your post-meeting artifacts.

AI note taker
I really love the AI Note Taker feature in phone calls and would love to see it added to the RC Video App. It would greatly improve productivity, allowing participants to focus on engaging in the meeting rather than worrying about taking notes and tracking action items.

Allow Rooms device to connect to other providers meetings
Rooms appliance only allows connection to RingCentral meetings. This is a major inconvenience in the event that we need to join a video meeting from a different provider such as Teams, Webex, or ZOOM.
Please find a way to allow Rooms appliance to connect to other meetings and not just Call in.
4 votesAs of August 2024, Rooms can now join Teams meetings using SIP Guest Join, if the SIP join details are not provided in the meeting invitation.

Translate English speaking into Spanish closed captioning and Spanish speaking into English closed captioning.

Ring Central Video is too Resource Intensive
The reason for this request is that it seems unrealistic to have to close all other programs in order to have a RC video call work. One of the video attendees said if they attend a Zoom meeting, it is fine. I’m sure the issue is related to computer resources, but I am surprised there would be such a large difference between zoom and RC. We need to have Ring Central Video function like Zoon and not be so resource intensive.

There should be a video option when invited using "invite by phone" option
The client wanted to invite people on video meeting using the "invite by phone" and there should be an option to open the camera.
11 votesInvite by phone — an older feature that called a participant in over PSTN — is being retired due to very limited use, and it's separate from Smart Invite. Smart Invite now lets a host call a coworker directly into a meeting as a full participant who can turn on their camera -
Share video cloud recording with external parties
We would like to share links to cloud meeting recordings as we need to share this information with clients for trainings, for example. We would like to be able to share these meeting recordings without having to download the file and send the recording to the client/customer.

Lossless full screen 4k video sharing on RingCentral Video
We should be able to have lossless 4k video screen sharing on RingCentral Video. i.e. When two users have the same 4k monitor, they should be able to exactly represent the entirety of the sender's screen on the viewer's screen with no boarders or loss of pixels.

Notify when RingCentral Meetings Rooms Calendar disconnects
When a Calendar service becomes unauthorized, for example when an OAuth2.0 token expires, administrators are not notified.If admins were able to be notified via email, this would allow them to proactively reauthorize the calendar service. This would help avoid a situation where users enter a room expecting to be able to join meetings from a calendar.
